My camera was working find all day. The battery was charged completely. Later on that day it would not turn on. The lens kept going out and in back in. the clicking noise. it said to turn off and on again. i did that many times but it still said the same. i tried charging the battery again but it still said the same thing.
I had exactly the same problem with mine. Here is what I did to fix it.
put new battery in
1- Clean around the lense
2- While turning the camera off, press the lense in (up and down with lense movement) NOT too hard. Try that a few times until the lense either retract 100% or almost 100%. If almost 100%, press on the lense a little harder so that the lense be in 100% (like it normally closes)
If you turn your camera on and off a couple of times, your camera will work as it does normally.
