Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer

Dell 924 blocked (non-Dell cartridges)

Dell AIO got low on ink and I got two replacements (Xprint XP-D4646 and 4640 from printerinks.com).  It worked fine for a couple of weeks (although it kept telling me the cartridges were almost empty, but printerinks said to ignore this and disable the ink level detector, which I don't know how to do) and then yesterday it did this (see attachment) and totally blocked the printer.  Tried uninstall and re-install, but now installation won't complete.  I've got an Epson Stylus Photo RX520 (which I bought when the Dell first gave problems and I needed to do a lot of printing) but the Dell is better as a scanner.  Do you know of a driver that will let the Epson scan to pdf format?  Both machines purchased in France, where I now live in retirement.

Today it says "Right cartridge incorrect" and Dell AIO Centre has not reappeared in the programs list.  First time I got a frame which I couldn't close, saying "Unsupported cartridge", so I uninstalled and re-installed and got "Windows - no disk" frame with "Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c  4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c" and buttons for Cancel Try again and Continue.

This morning I re-installed again and got "The procedure entry point [email protected]**************etc. could not be located in the dynamic link library dlccutil.dll"

We had the same problem with the Dell Photo 924 Printer/Scanner/Copier as Hallj. The replacement cartridges had not been in the printer very long when we began seeing the message "Right Cartridge Incorrect." We haven't been able to print or copy since this started occurring.

My Dell AIO 924 prompts the "right cartridge incorrect". Same thing happened to my first 924 . Dell replaced it. I bought new cartridges and they don't work either.

    Thanks

just replaced ink with a Dell cartridge ($25 non-returnable) and the printer keeps giving the message "incorrect cartridge". What to do? Warranty has expired so no free help from Dell.

I refilled my dell ink cartridges from Costco. Now my computer says "Low ink warning" How do I do a hard reset for the Dell 926 AIO Printer?

The ink is fine in the cartridge. The ink level indicator just thinks the cartrdige is still empty. You can ignore the message or turn it off all together. Just bring in your cartrdige for a refill when it shows signs of fading or streaking. Go to www.inkjet411.com for more help

Refilled my Dell Ink Cartridge

yes, it's safe, and if you are dissatisfied with the cartridge, take it up with the cartridge re-filler...better yet, spend about $100 on a black & white laser printer (HP), and get 2000 pages per cartridge, and reduce cost per page by 20 times or more! And If you buy compatibles for this (which are more reliable) -save even more.

Dell AIO 924 - Can't get the Print In Black Only option to work

hello! Ttry this option. At start menu select control panel, then select printer, then right at your printer model, then select properties, and select maintenance. At maintenance menu, select ink settings. if you want to use black ink only then click the menu button. or at Printing Preferences select main, then just check the box with grayscale printing.  if the problem still the same Try upgrading your system to XP Pack2 Professional or Vista Premium/Ultimate, then install your printer driver. These two system has a built in upgraded plug and play drivers, so it best suit to your need. thats it... Have nice day!

Printer Always Indicates Ink is Low or Cartridge is Incorrect

To get rid of the low ink warnings google the specific error message with 'ink refill' and look for 'engineers reset' or similar ..

NB. Dell printers (re-badged Lexmarks) are notorious for ink usage and high costs .. so my best recommendation would be to throw it away and purchase something else ..

Download the newest firmware from www.kodak.com. Try reseating the printhead - see user's guide. If that does not work, email or call Kodak AiO tech support.

Dell AIO 924 - Can't get the Print In Black Only option to work

I had this problem. It's actually very easy to fix:

- Print -> Properties
- Go to "Advanced" tab
- "More options"
- Deselect "Use color cartridge for all black printing"
- Select "Use black cartridge to print black and white"
- Click "Ok"

You should be able to select the "Print in black and white" option now and stop all the frustration!
