DVD I want to replace cd player with DVD player.Is it possible?What to be done and how much is the rate?

Go to Walmart and get a CD Optics Cleaner Disc. Little brushes clean the tracking and read optics. The error is normally because the tracking optic can't read a disc, so it says there isn't one!

yes,u can get it done for sure.u might need wiring kit to joint the system together.make sure u can get the kit before to buy aftermarket system.

Try a DVD cleaning kit and follow the instructions, if no change! the laser pickup assembly will need to be replaced, not cost effective to repair cheaper to replace.

This are the possible solution to your problem: 1. Try to checked the connectivity of your disk drive to power supply connector and IDE/ZATA cable connection to your motherboard. 2. If the first solution is OK then that's good, try now to check if the driver software of your disk drive is properly installed for the second step, if not then installed it by placing the cd to the cd rom then run. Follow the instruction for the cd if available. 3. To check the connectivity of disk drive go to the start button then select MY Computer then click it,from there you must need to look for this: DVD - RAM Drive (E:) it means now that your disk drive is connected properly. 4. If the step 1,2, and 3 are already done but still not functioning/playing also the checked the cd you insert if it is for dvd drive purpose if not replace for a new cd/movie that is compatible to dvd drive,and also checked for the cleanliness of the cd and sensor of the cd reader.

-clean cd/dvd blanc surface with a soft fabric
-use cleaning cd to clean lens

Try to upgrade the driver for the DVD player. This is done in the Device Manager.
Upgrade or reinstall the software used to play the DVD.

Does it do with original DVD or copied DVD ?.
if the original one works fine but the others not, your DVD may not capable of playing copy -R/RW discs..even though your DVD specs says: Plays DVD-Video, video-mode DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW, CD-R/CD-RW, MP3 CD, Kodak Picture CD, and JPEG image CDs, sometimes this happens due to bad recording of DVD .Try to use better recorded DVD or if possible use the original ones..

Hi, you will need to replace the optical lens assembly asap if possible. this is basically what the issue is at Thia's time. you can confirm my diagnosis by trying to clean the lens with a lens cleaning disc. if the cleaning dosen't restore the reading ability of the lens, you will need to replace the optical lens assembly when possible.

first off, your not going to get dvd quality on cd, if ur talking about a standard dvd that u wish to put on cd, dont even bother.

4GB(DVD) to 700MB(CD) ? re-encoding it to that size will look like crap.
