Power went out and modem light start flashing

Pull the power line from the modem, for atleast 15 seconds, plug it back in. (Additionally, try pulling all wires from the back and replacing them and ensure the jack is finger tight) If it doesn't return to its normal operation then most likely it suffered from a surge and fried a circuit or two inside of it, at that point take it back into your provider and get it replaced, most providers trade modems out for free.

Motherboard aux power light is flashing

If you mean the power button just flashes green but it does not power on then your motherboard might be the issue. Remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables to CD/DVD drives. In other words just have the power supply and motherboard connected and see if the power light stays solid green. If it does then start re-inserting cards and connecting drives etc (WITH POWER DISCONNECTED) to try and isolate the problem. If not then your motherboard is probably defective and needs to be replaced. Also plug the computer directly into the AC wall outlet.

Flashing power light on Router is sign of hardware failure As mentioned, you have already reset the router
You can try to hard reset the router one more time
Follow this procedure
1. Press the reset button with some paper clip 2. Wait for 10 Secs 3. Turn of Power to the router (While Reset button is still pressed) 4. Wait for 10 secs 5. Power on router 6. Wait for 10 secs and then release the Reset button
While doing this make sure reset button is pressed continuously start from Step 1 - 6
Check if Power light still blinks
If No - you can setup router like before and it will work If yes - Buy a new router or get it replaced if under warranty

Hello

Does the DSL light come on at all when the modem is powered up?? If not, then it looks like the modem is bad.

When the modem is first powered on, all of the lights should come on and then go off after a few seconds. The power light should then begin to blink while the modem does a self test. Once that is done, the DSL light should come on and begin to flash red. If it senses a DSL connection, it will change to flash green until it has established a DSL connection. If it does not detect a DSL connection, it will continue to flash red. If the light does not flash at all or if the power light continues to flash after a minute or so, then the modem is most likely bad.

Let me know if you need more help. :)

When power switch is turned on the Power light is rapidly flashing & the 4 Ethernet lights are flashing. The box is Actiontec GT704wg

I do not have a solution to the problem. However, I am having the same problem. This morning the Actiontec GT704WG power and ethernet lights were rapidly flashing. The modem was non-functional. I could not even connect to the modem through the browser to see if I could find a problem.

The problem lasted a couple of hours. Then all of a sudden the modem started working again. I won't be able to tell if the problem recurs until I restart the modem. And if the problem does occur again, I won't be able to connect to the internet.
