The Veriton 1000 I have has 50mm fans (length and width). 80mm are the wrong size. They are 15mm thick, 12V, 0.2A. For some reason, these seem to be more expensive than many other fans.
For others, the fan on this model only runs with the volume turned way up, to test it unhook the speakers and play something like the radio with the volume set to 0dB, the fan should run.
Seems to be a common problem. Same problem with our fridge. (10 minutes to fix = apprx. $200) One of the wires for the fan breaks. I suspect F&P know about this and I suspect are making a lot of money in repairs
no you need to know the wattage of the item you are trying to power. To find the wattage of the item you are trying to power is simple. Some will say directly others will give you the amps (ie. .5amps, 1.2 amps.) you take the amps and multiply it by the volts that it says. All this info is on the item you are trying to power with the inverter. The answer is what it will take to power that item. example .5amps x 240v = 120 w so in this instance you would need an inverter that would produce at least 120w so in this case the 150w inverter would work. Good Luck, have a grt day
I just found my Canon 5000F scanner to have a power supply outputting 3V DC instead of 12V DC. I replaced it with a 12V DC Power Supply from Tandy rated at 1.5 amps. I had the scans getting darker by the day and sometimes completely black. Now I have great scans again. Just test the voltage at the plug that supplies the scanner for a healthy 12V DC with a multimeter.
