Hi my names is Agnieszka Cecha . I am acer ferrari 3400 user. I have a serious problems with my ac adpter plug in my computer. My ac adapter got stuck inside the computer and i had a hard time to pull it out. Once I manahged to do it, i noticed that the plug got burned and melted. I purchased a new ac adpater and this happened again. So I guess there must be somthing with the computer. I live in Denver, CO , USA but the coputer was bought in Europe. I do not know were is the best place to try to fix it. Do you have an idea what could be wrong and where I could fix it?
Thanks, Agnieszka Cecha

Re: AC adapter melted inside the computer plug
Try to clean the socket on the computer, when the socket become rusted/slack it may become warm. use sandpaper to remove the rust then use contact cleaner spray. don't forget to remove the battery pack when you clean the socket. or... There might be a problem with the battery pack. Try using a replacement battery pack of the same type. hope this help..

Is with ac or battery power. In any case, remove your battery and plug in your ac adapter. If it turns on then it's your battery. If it doesn't if is either your ac adapter, dc jack, or something more serious. Let me know. [email protected]
what appears to be the problem on this system is power related.
when the power adapter was being hit to temporarily come on it reflects a loose connection or component in the power adapter which eventually was let loose and cause a shot circuit which explains the smoke.
This is likely to cause a circuit problem in the laptop.
Take the battery out and try to power it again?
