far as i know, these printers doesnt have refillable inks and only the manufacturer can refill inks of their own. refillable inks uses inks not made by canon too so using them puts the printer at risk. but you can try going to stores who does ink refills and buy gadgets from them. there will be instructions on how to do it yourself too.

I would never use refilled ink. This is a lesson. You can still print, yet the cartridge needs a new "chip" they should have given you when they refilled it. You can try: remove the cart. turn off printer, unplug it, then put old cart back in. Do this three or four times and the memory of the printer can only remember three or four resets and then put refilled cart in. Hope this works for you. I was told this for an HP 7130 (similar, yet older version).

The refill holes are situated in the top of the cartridge, usually under neath the label.... make sure you seal the holes after refilling.

the problem with the refilled ink is that the ink is NO WHERE near as good as the original HP ink and the ink cartridge is now damaged - just replace the cartridge with a new HP cartridge and you should be OK!

we can refil toner many times but we should reset cartage, while we refiling toner to open cartage we should sides white rings middle plastick flate white plate make adownof cartage it is first methode. when we put reffiling cartage put on printer and do on at that time we push cartage right side pointo re set. look on www.brother.com

can someone direct me on how to put ink in my printer

All rechargeable lighters have a refilling nozzle (usually at the bottom of lighter).
All the good quality gas refill cans have the nozzle adapters inside sovering cup.
Brake off the nozzle adapters off the cup and try to fit them onto lighters refilling nozzle.
When found the best fit adapter, put it onto gas refill cans nozzle and holding the lighter and can upside down connect all nozzles together and push together.
As these nozzles are made for mass production lighters, tey do not fit perfect and some gas leak will occure.
Anyway- few seconds will be enough to refill any lighter.
In case if your lighter do not refill by explained action, the refill nozzle in your lighter is damaged or faulty.

you can simply refill the 818 cartridge first you take the cartridge and then you must clean outer surface of the cartridge with a cotton cloth then fill the ink with a cyringe before you put into the carriege holder you must clean the inside path of the carriege holder then put it it will work very fast and perfectly.

i believe u need to do printing alignment after putting a refilled cartridge, so it would detect that there is a new cartridge installed.
