When I insert a playstation game disc in the unit.

Iv heard just cleaning the game disc works for this error so try that first if that doesn't work try :
Deleting all Watch Dogs data from the Game Data Utility folder on the XMB Then, re-install the game, patch, and any DLC

Assuming you've already cleaned the disc, all you can do is delete the game data. In the crossbar (XMB), go to Game->Game Data Utility. This will delete any patches or game data that have been installed since you first put the disc in. Then PS3 will re-install/re-download the game data. This will not affect Save Games, as those are stored in the Save Data Utility.

yeap some of the games put those downloads in that location. its just like if most of the games u play the system put some data of that game in the utility folder. for certain games its suppose to access the game info quicker so that u don't see loading screen n such. is this giving u a problem???

Yes you can from your old PC.

On your OLD PC, go to your directory where you installed COD4
For me, it's J:\Call of Duty4\players\profiles
Copy the Profile Folder, named by your Profile Name, and the .txt "active"
Copy it to a external device, transfer to your new PC in the COD4 directory under the "profiles" folder.
Load CoD4, and it will appear.

Question: does it play blueray movies? Mine did this, but would still play movies. I found a "Corrupted Data" file in my Games/data folder, and ended up doing a quick restore, under ths System menu. I now have no problems in this area...games start properly every time. You will lose all your saves and any dowloaded content, so back up if you can.

You are covered by a 12 month warranty from Sony it sounds like the laser is not reading the discs but check to see if the auto start feature is turned on in the settings menu as then the game will automatically start when the disc is inserted

ur PS3's over heated. theres a sensor in the ps3 that tell the temp. u fried somthing inside. return ur ps3.

u might want to go online and type clean discs the clean ur discs and they start working again orgo into game and they give u a new ps3

You might want to start with trying to tell us what you were trying to do when the error occured... Anything involving a headset or playing Madden 08?
