Turning keyboard on

in setting , search for keyboard or input method. and you can turn on it there

You can turn On your Microsoft wireless keyboard by following the steps below:
1. On the underside of your keyboard, remove the battery cover and insert two AAA alkaline batteries.
2. Remove the transceiver from the storage compartment and connect it to a USB port of your computer.
3. To turn the keyboard On or Off, you need to press and hold Fn + Esc keys till the battery light changes. You will get 1 long green flash when you turn On the keyboard, 3 green flashes when your turn it Off, and red flash if the batteries that you inserted are low.

Try turning on without keyboard, if it doesn't turn on, it's either computer hardware, operating system or drivers. If it does turn on, plug in your keyboard after the system starts up. If it doesn't work go to driver manager, click on arrow next to keyboards, right click on the keyboard driver and click uninstall. After it uninstalls click scan for hardware change and the problem should be solved. If not plug in and out your keyboard. If that doesn't help, Buy new keyboard. Hope that helps. Dusan

if you have one, the external keyboard. Turn off the computer,

and turn off all attached devices. Turn on the computer first;
then turn on the attached devices.

If an external keyboard is connected, do the following:

v Turn off the computer and disconnect the external keyboard;

then turn on the computer. Make sure that the built-in

keyboard operates correctly. If it does, have the external

keyboard serviced.

Make sure that the external keyboard is connected to the
correct connector.

Go to control panel, select regional and language,double click on that icon, then choose keyboard and languages, click on change keyboard, it will open for you all language you choose to show, select the French language and hit remove. this will turn it off from your option.

Are the keys working?
If the keyboard is doing absoloutly nothing, then it may have drawn too much current from the USB port and shorted it out.

Try something else in the USB port and see if that is working correctly like a flash drive/mouse etc

There is usually a button you have to press, right under the keyboard and the mouse. Pressing that will connect it with it's station. And also, don't put the station too far away.
