I made a typo on my last question. When I turn on or off my TV the sound bar displays d ln l. Why doesn't it display on or off? Is the sound bar shutting off properly?

Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Do you see any characters on your display? If yes: channel info, menu, volume bar? Means: you don't have any video info coming through. Main board is most likely candidate for replacement. Next scenario: TV powers up, but you see only display glowing, no characters, no info. t-con(display adapter) board is at fault.
Last one: you can hear the sound from TV speakers( not from your surround system), but display is "black". Power supply's ballast or "inverter" quit. If you answered "yes" to one of possible issues, give me more details, please. I will guide yourself over basic troubleshooting.

When it turns off, try flashlight 2 in from screen and see if you still see picture, if so then it's your inverter board is bad, you can price at shopjimmy.com or discount-merchant.com

Most likely a power supply component has aged and thus changed value and/or failed. Take it to a reputable repair person.

It sounds like it may be the voltage inverter to me.

If not it is the Main Pcp board "logic board" part number ...BN94-01011C

The main board may cause this problem. If it wass happened when you play DVD, so the main board needs replacing.

My Samsung LN-83251D is not working properly. Instead projecting a picture, it just displays bars and lines. Is my LCD TV broken?

If you have menus (on screen display) then the tv may be ok and your signal source is ng or hooked up wrong. If no menus then the tv needs expencive parts inside
