Cant install sims 2 double deluxe

try to copy first your sims to to your desktop the run in again..

g to your friend pc and try to copy your sims installer to your usb first

Hi. Is Sims 2 installed in your pc? Before you can install any expansion pack you have to install first the sims 2. Try installing first your sims 2 software then install all the expansion pack that you have. Hope this helps.

You have to have the disc in your cd/dvd drive to play the game. the game will not play without the disc. If you have any expansion packs installed you need to use the latest expansion disc. For instance, I have Free Time but not Apartment Life so I must have the Free Time disc in the drive to play the Sims 2, not the Sims 2 disc.

Make sure there is no sims 2 content on your hard drive. if there are any EA folders on your comouter either in program files or in "my documents" delete them. Then try installing Double Deluxe again. Then you can install pets.
Pets is an expansion pack for the Sims 2 base game. Other expansion packs are University, Seasons, Free Time, Bon Voyage.Open for buisiness and Apartment Life...If you plan to get other expansion packs you should install them in order of their release to avoid future problems. Nightlife expansion is included with Double Deluxe.

A simple google search for sims 2 expansion packs will show you the correct order to install and descriptions of each pack and what they add to the game. Seasons lets your sims go fishing for example. They can cook the fish they catch, and also plant gardens, and experience the changing seasons from summer to winter.

As long as you have your download file located in Documents/Ea Games/The Sims 2/Downloads (I already had this folder when I installed the game.) you should be fine.

Your might want to try taking out your Sim Blender, and try executing again. It may be causing the game to freeze before it loads all the way. I am currently having the same problems and I am looking for a solution.

I KNOW, IT ALWAYS WILL FREEZE THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT, BUMMER I KNOW, TRY TO keep it ventalated, but most of all BUY SIMS 3, NO LOADING SCREENS, NO FREEZING ON CREATE A FAMILY, FRANKLY I SAY AMAZING.

Hi there, is the disc damaged at all? if it is, but not very deep scratches, try polishing the disc/disc's, with a very soft cloth. make sure you clean the disc from centre outworse not side to side like most people do, if there is any stains/marks on the disc, try watching them off my damp soft cloth and cleaning it gently, and then dry with enough soft cloth inwards out again.

Also go to your program files making sure there isnt any semi installed versions of Sims, if there is delete the folder for the Sims 2 Double Delux and try again :)

Also alot of games dont install with windows vista, why i am still using windows Xp, untill windows 7 comes out to the public.
