It might be overheating. Make sure there is proper ventilation space all around unit. If that does not do it you might have an internal fan burned out.

Mitsubishi hdtv 1080 what are the blinking green light codes

ost models have a self-diagnosis feature to help determine shutdown problems.

To enable this feature do the following....

1) Turn the tv on and then let it shutdown
2) Press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds
3) After 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence.

This will commonly be one set of blinks followed by a short pause then another set of blinks.
This will repeat around five times.

1 - 2 = no error detected

2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current)

2 - 2 = Short protect (short detected - commonly caused by convergence failure - to repair this check out site for a convergence kit)

2 - 3 = Deflection protect

2 - 4 = Vertical protect

Note: A constant blink on certain models will typically be caused by a fault in the DM model. To repair this check out site a "blinking green light kit"

Philips LCD HDTV

The unit is trying to start and can not. It then enters protect mode. This means that there is a problem and a full turn on would further damage the set. It should be blinking a code, this code will tell you what the exact problem is. If you call Philips at 1-888-PHILIPS, they can tell you what is the exact problem.

To figure out the code, count the number of blinks.

If you need further help, please ask, but I can't tell you what to exactly replace without more information.

Thank you and have a good day.

My split type 2.5hp carrier express ion shuts off (including the condenser) after five minutes of running, the indicator light blinks during this time...it restarts again after awhile, then shuts off again...

How many times is the light blinking? Also is the light red, yellow or green? The light blinking is telling you exactly what has failed.
(# of RED blinks first)

1 High Pressure Protect
2 Indoor coil freeze protect
3 Low pressure protect

4 Compressor discharge protect

5 Low pressure/Overcurrent protect

6 Indoor-outdoor communication error
8 Hi-Temp protect
10 AC Voltage Low

Each of these has maintenance required steps to resolve the errror. Let me know how many blinks your getting...

Turn the unit on and it plays a few minutes then it goes into protect mode.

pnOne of your speakers is grounded. Start disconnecting them one by one behind the radio after it enters protect mode and then it will turn back on.

Denon AVR-3802

I have repaired many of these Denon receivers over the last few years.

Since the headphones work, that means if you dis-connect the speakers it will turn on and not go into protect (when power cuts off a few seconds after turning the unit on).

The most likely problem is a bad speaker. to find out which speaker is causing the problem, do this.

Start out with just one speaker connected and then turn on the unit. If it turns on and plays music, you know that speaker is good.
Now turn the unit off again and add another speaker and keep the first speaker connected. Once again, if the unit plays, that speaker is also good.

Keep doing this same procedure one speaker at a time. As soon as you connect a speaker and then try to turn on the unit and it goes into protect, the speaker you just connected is bad.

To confirm that this speaker is the bad speaker, dis-connect all speakers and only plug the suspected bad speaker into a speaker jack that worked with one of the other speakers.
If the unit still goes into protect you know then that you have found the bad speaker.

If the unit still goes into protect, that speaker is bad and you will need to take it in for repair or replace it.
make sure you use 8 ohm speakers. if i remember correctly these Denons can use 6 ohm speakers, but those are harder to find and most home speakers are 8 ohms.

If the unit does not go into protect and that suspected bad speaker plays in one of the other speaker jacks, what you really have is a bad channel in the amplifier, the channel that the suspected bad speaker was previously connected to.

If you find out you have a bad channel, you will need to take it in to an repair center. Preferably an authorized Denon service center. There are not very many of those around. I work at the only authorized Denon service center in the entire state of Michigan.

If I can be of more assistance, don't hesitate to ask. And a good rating is always appreciated. :)
