Question about Creative Labs Zen Nano Plus MP3 Player
All of a sudden my Mp3 player just quit working. I have changed the battery 3 times and it hasn't turned on with any of them. Please let me know if there is something wrong with it that I can fix. Thank you
You got a faulty main board. That's the board below the LCD and buttons circuit board.
Unfortunately, that problem is hard to troubleshoot. And even if you've discovered the faulty part(s) you'll have to find the exact part number (if you can find a replacement, probably a burnt diode or an embedded chip) and requires you to unsolder tiny parts and provided you had micro soldering skills. You have to use a lens though from time to time.
I fixed mine by exchangeing boards with Zen Nano's bought at surplus store. I bought three of them and I repaired two of them. One works well, while the other still has the problem with the main board as the PC won't recognize it. But I could still use it as a voice recorder, and load music from CD's by using its MP3 LINE IN ENCODING function.
If your player was supported by a warranty, I strongly suggest that you return your Zen Nano or have it fixed by Creative....
