Not the screen but the flex ribbon that connects it to the other half of the phone is probably broken

The screen keeps on disappearing. I have reset the settings a few times which then resolves the issue for a few minutes. I have not dropped the mobile and it has not been in contact with any water.

hi,

there are several reasons why your screen keeps on disappearing.

1) probably your phone experience accidental impact and that causes lcd flex connector to get loose and causes the display to disappear.
2) defective LCD. LCD needed to be replaced.

I recommend not to open your phone since there's a great chance of damaging the LCD and also if your unit is still in warranty and if the warranty sticker is broken, your warranty is void. instead have it repaired to your phone dealer or provider and that saves you from trouble.

but if you really to gamble and give it a try (Don't do this if your not sure what your doing!), you can fix it yourself if the problem is on no. 1 (loose connector). open your phone slowly (since delicate parts inside and remember its part placements) using t6 or t7 screws and locate the lcd flex connector (usually behind the LCD) that connects the lcd to the main board. remove it slowly not to damage it and look for abnormalities, if none, then put it back securely and assemble your unit. then give it a try...

Good Luck!

Don't forget to rate me OK! Thanks...
Hope i helped you...

bst rgrds,

Wont show image in the lcd display while taking photo?

Can you more clearly what you mean "while taking photo"?If lcd not display image...is that any text or symbol in the lcd?If you can still see the symbol or text in the lcd, I think you have trouble in your lens or ccd.
Trouble in the lens usually make the lcd display white screen. And, if ccd trouble the lcd display white horisontal line and if so hard broken the lcd display black screen, but the symbol or text is shown.
