One of the most common causes of the E32 is that there is an issue with the lens alignment. It make be stuck in place. Does your lens work in and out when you power up and down your camera? If so, there may be a hardware error causing the issue. If you are fortunate enough to have an authorized Canon dealer/shop in our area, you could take it to them and let them look at it.
Otherwise, if there is a local camera shop or a camera club nearby, you could seek additional help there as well. As a last case scenario, you could take it to a Wolf Camera or Ritz Camera which is a big-box camera store if there is one nearby.
Getting Canon error codes usually means a trip to the Canon service center for a fix. There's a discussion in the DPreview forum regarding the same problem.
Apparently an E32 error code results in the camera powering off in exactly 60 seconds in the playback mode. It not necessarily affects just the G11 but other PowerShot models too.
Generally E-series error codes mean either a hardware or firmware issue that cannot be rectified by the end user. Hope this helps Positive feedback ALWAYS welcome :)
I have purchased recently canon ixus 130, the camera automatically shuts down after some 30 sec& shows a messege 'camera error, restart camera will autometically shut down error E32.'
Its showing an error message. As its new take it back to the vendor and get them to sort it out, replace it or give you a refund. Its still under warranty, you don't want to void the warranty by messing about with it.
E32 indicates a problem with the pressure sensor. The service manual says to check the wiring (replace if bad), replace the sensor, if problems persist, replace the main circuit board.
There's a copy of the service manual inside the machine - remove two screws in the back and take off the top. The manual includes the error codes and the steps to take.
