As the computer starts, press <F8> on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.
i am unable to restore my computer on D file - new_note.jpg Note: You must press <F8> before the Windows logo appears on the screen. If you press <F8> after the Windows logo appears on the screen, the Advanced Boot Options menu will not appear on the screen. If you do not see the Advanced Boot Options menu, restart the computer, and then repeat this step until you see the menu on the screen.

I want to reset my hp mini 1000 i want to reset it like when i first bought it can you please tell me how to do that step by step thank you.

There are a couple ways to do this. When you bought the laptop you should have gotten a system restoration disk with it. To use this simply put it in the CD drive and it should autorun with simple instructions on how to restore your HP notebook to factory settings. The easiest way to do this is with HP recovery. For a full system restoration, press the F11 key during bootup and then select "Recover PC" from the menu. This is the simplest way to recover your computer, however it will not work if your computer is unable to start up. Note that this will not work if your computer is unable to boot, or if some of the files needed for the recovery are corrupted, which is why you may need the disk.
If your computer simply isn't running like it used to be due to something you recently installed, you could just try a system restore instead of a full restore. Go to your search bar in Windows Vista or 7 and type in "rstrui." This should bring you to the system restore file called rstrui.exe. Click on this and choose the earliest date possible. Note that you may have to check the box in the lower left that says "Show me more restore points," and that this will only work if your computer is set to create restore points often.

DO A POWER DRAIN OF THE LAPTOP BY DISCONNECTING THE POWER CHORD REMOVING THE BATTERY AND PRESSING AND HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON OF THE LAPTOP FOR 20 SECS

ALSO IF WE CAN REACH THE DESKTOP MAKE IT SURE WE CLEAN THE COMPUTER OF UNNECESSARY FILES BY TYPING THIS COMMAND IN THE RUN BOX
1.START BUTTON> RUN>TYPE IN %temp% >and then hit enter and select all the folders in this windows and delete it
2.START BUTTON>RUN> TYPE IN prefetch and then hit enter and select all the folders in this windows and delete it
3.start button>run box type in cleanmgr.exe and select the drive usually operating c and try cleaning the files
WE ALSO HAVE TO THE BIOS UPDATE OF THE LAPTOP FROM THE MANUFACTURER WEBSITE if needed
If this does not help then take your laptop to the day when the laptop was working fine by doing a system restore
system restore can restore within a period of 90 days
if then this will be the path to system restore
start>all programs>accesories>system tools>system restore
if not then get the recovery or the restore disc from the manufacturer and take the computer to factory condition.
have a nice day!!!

How do i restore factory settings to my packard bell desktop

If you want to restore your computer to factory settings, and you dont mind losing your files, you will need to get the cd recovery disc, put it in the cd-rom drive and reboot your computer. it will start the process from there.

beware, it will erase everything that currently is on there and when finished bring the computer to the original factory settings.

Retrieving deleted history from windows Vista?

System Restore can make changes to Windows system files, registry settings, and programs installed on your computer. It also can make changes to scripts, batch files, and other types of executable files on your computer. Personal files, such as documents, e‑mail, photos, and music files, are not changed.

That is from Microsoft. I think History or Passwords and Form Filled items are stored in the registry, but visited sites are not. So a system restore may give you your saved passwords for sites but not the bookmarks to those sites

Unable to retrieve company file after closing it

You probably opened an old file. You will need to find the current file that you were using. Use the search and search for all files ending in .QBW
Check the dates they were last used (you don't want the one with the most current date since that was the old file that was opened.)

Want to reset the factory settings

If the issue started happened after installing/uninstalling some driver/software, Then you can use the System Restore option offered by the Windows operating system. This will help you restore your computer's system files to an earlier point in time. It's a way to undo system changes to your computer without affecting your personal files, such as e‑mail, documents, or photos.

System Restore uses a feature called System Protection to regularly create and save restore points on your computer. These restore points contain information about registry settings and other system information that Windows uses.

Unable to part restore my packard bell 1517

Hi,

If its a windows machine, power it ON and immediately press F8 multiple times. This will take you to a list of options and select "Last good known configuration". it will load the files what was replaced by any change and your system will boot normally. Once booted normally, wait and do a normal restart (to secure this booting). All the best. !!!
