The audio has died on my SAMSUNG HLS4266WX. The speaker are silent and the audio out RCA jacks also go silent.

  • jtnunez Jun 15, 2009

Unfortunately the HLS4266 does not have PIP and I cannot blame my audio loss on sending the audio to sub. My audio dies after a few minutes of operation. It is accompanied by a loud "rasberry" like sound and the audio is gone across all channels, but the video is perfect. I hoped that the REAR RCA audio jacks would still have audio but the same problem occurs on the rear outputs. I have contacted SamSung and will be having a non warranty repair. Thanks for the solution attempt JJTN

I have a samsung plasma 50" tv, how do I hook it up to this sound bar? I tried to hook it up using the rca jacks and it didn't work.

Near the Audio / Video inputs on your tv, you should see a "headphone" jack or it may be labeled "Audio Out"
some sound bars plug into these jacks using standard heaphone jack.
Other sound bars may need to be connected to the device your using on your tv. (DVD player, cable box, etc.)
Tv speakers can then be disabled in the "Audio" menu of your tv.

No sound comingout now on my HT BD2T subwoofer, just humming.

Try reconnecting; then replacing the audio cable for the sub woofer. I think it is just a standard RCA cable.

When you disconnect the RCA cable does the sub woofer still hum? If so the sub woofer may be bad. If it falls silent chances are it's just the cable.

HI, I Bought Samsung TV with Model#CS21M21MA in Feb'2006, now i am facing issue with the Speakers. Servicing center people are not able to replace with new speaker. Also they are asking me to get it...

Not very likely that both speahers died at the same time, it can be the power amplifiers is bad or it is not getting the DC for the amp, or bad sound processor. Mute function is not ON right?
You can try this first:

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be. First, make sure the MUTE or SAP function is not activated, then check the on screen sound set up menu to make sure the speakers are not set to OFF. If the setting is OK, then attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks (Red and White) to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Please post back what you find.

Is it possible to connect my Altec ACS48 speaker system to my TV?

If your TV has audio output jacks, then yes, you can connect your speaker system to the TV. Run a stereo RCA cable from those output jacks to the audio input jack on the Altec system, using whatever adapter required. You will probably need to convert from RCA jacks to a 1/8-inch stereo plug for the speaker input. Or you can pick up a cable from Radio Shack that has the RCA plugs on one end and the stereo plug on the other, and omit the adapter.

If the TV doesn't have audio output jacks, there isn't any easy way to hook up the Altec.

Please take a moment to rate this solution if it has helped you. Thanks for asking here!

I have a aiwa cx-na77, how do I connect it to a tv so that I hear the tv sound on the aiwa speakers

If it has an "AUX" input or any other type of RCA jacks for an input, you can connect the TV RCA audio jacks output to the input RCA jacks of the Aiwa.

That's what you would need.

RCA audio outputs on the TV

RCA audio input on the Aiwa

Just look at the back of each unit and see if it has them. RCA audio jacks are the small circular red and white jacks. They will be labed on each unit what they are for. You need output jacks on the TV and input jacks (but not for phono) on the Aiwa.
