Yes i found that a application of several layers of black electric tape over the little buzzer hole does wonders , i got mine down to the sound a 80's vintage digital watch makes just by doing this

Frigidaire microwave has annoying beep, can it be turned off? model no. FFMV162LQA

The only way to stop the beeping is to push the cancel button then immediately open the door. This is the only microwave Ive ever encountered that doesn't stop the beeping when you either open the door or push the cancel button. To make it even more irritating, the beeps are VERY loud and long. Here is a short you tube video posted by someone who recorded this loud and long beeping I am referring to. https://youtu.be/pDq7LTpPNTY

Chef Banquet - turns off after 7 minutes? Why

It appears the problem is in the keypad controller board, it will only run for 7 minutes and give a loud beep, you need a professional for this, to assess the situation.

How do I stop the beep when food is ready (it beeps if you don't remove at the food after intervals)? Sharp R-340

I too have Sharp microwave that constantly beeps at approximately one minute intervals if the food you have been heating isn't removed. It is loud, persistent and extremely annoying. I've opened the machine to try and find the loud speaker but cannot find it (it could be built in to the circuitry?). Any help on this would be appreciated. It's a very unfortunate design flaw on what is otherwise a very good and easy to use microwave.

How do I turn off Kenmore Microwave Beeping?

I've got a Honda Civic hybrid with the same noisy beeper. I can't have the parking lights on and the door open. I can't leave the key in the switch while making a phone call etc. I think we have to presume that like the Honda, there is no software controlled override on you microwave beeper... they know best and want you to feel safe and secure that no burglar will be able to make a cup-o-soup in your kitchen without waking you. A few screws and you should be able to expose the main circuit board and apply a layer of bubble gum or silicone caulk or JB Weld to the beeping device. Most have a small hole in a black plastic cylinder... so cover the hole and then test for loudness. For absolute silence, desolder the device from the circuit board and replace with a resistor matching the amount you measure across the beeper contacts with an ohm meter.

I have a Sanyo Microwave Z2001S. The beeper is so loud that it wakes everyone up in the mornings. Is there anyway to disconnect it?

1.Some microwave has option to turn the sound off or make it low by pressing some keys on control panel. Find the manual book.
2. If this is really necessary then you can turn it off by cutting one wire to the small speaker on control board.

Is there a wy to disconnect the beeper?

Looking at the owner's manual, there is no shutoff listed.

One way to make it quieter is to put a piece of electrical tape over the piezoelectric beeper.

To silence it, you would need to cut one connection to it, desolder it, or simply break it off.

Disabling the beep on a Kenmore microwave

I have Kenmore microwave model 721.61820100.
It has an "Option" button. Press it. The display say "NUMBER"
Then press "1". The display should say "SOUND" and then "OFF".
Press "Start" and that beast turns silent, well not really, but the beeps are goooone.

If for some reason you don't like it this way repeat the sequence and the sound this time will turn "ON".

Turn off Beep on old Magic Chef microwave

On some older models, there is a sliding switch on the bottom edge of the control panel that turns it off. I've seen these on older Amanas, but not sure about others.

In newer models, they have some kind of help key which will get to to a menu which will turn it off.

Other models in between usually don't have that feature. In such cases, I as a technician have removed the beeper or taped over it to make it quieter, or even lifted one leg of a resistor attached to the beeper.

Someone less technical or less patient could just push the beeper sideways until it snaps off. No more beeps! *grin* And really, it is much weaker than the circuit board so it's a viable, if inelegant solution.

One other thing is to call Magic Chef with your model number:
