Question about Electrolux Washing Machines
I had disconnected and turned the washer upside down to get a quick look at the belt before i put it back in place and the power was restored to the washer. Worked fine the last time i used it. start/pause button led flashing. While it was upside down i did open the door of the unit and spin the drum a bit to look at the belts movement.

It is possible that you have a problem with the door?s sensor, maybe it?s turned off or maybe some water fell on it. This is the reason why the micro controller interpret that the door is still open, and that?s why the washing procedure does not start. You have to find the manual and determine where is the location of the sensor and then see in what state it is (Turned off, wet, or damaged)

Yes, check the brushes. Our 7-yr. old WFK-2401 just stopped spinning and a brush change did the trick. Repair people wanted $350 for a whole new motor, but it was only the brushes. Replacing them is not very difficult if you are somewhat handy with a 1/2in. wrench and have some common sense about mechanics and electrics. Just look carefully as you loosen motor - disconnect its wires first, and think, and study, and try to understand what you're doing. I took lots of photos just in case. In the end it was easy; make sure to get belt off motor and motor will be out in no time; just two bolts to undo. Also, make sure you put brushes in properly - their tips are slanted and need to go in the right way and make full contact with commutator inside. Again, common sense. Bosch sells brushes, also RepairClinic.com, for slightly more but real Bosch parts. I paid the latter $45 with shipping - Bosch part No. 154740. Another option is to take motor out and find local motor repair shop and have them do it. Bosch won't help you. Power to the people - and the motor!

Press and hold the 'Delay' and 'Extra Rinse' buttons together and it will 'unlock' your control panel (this is a tamper proof feature for the kiddies)

This sounds like what I am having. Machine tumbles but does not rinse. Some postings say this is the door lock problem. Google "Fridigdaire washer will not Spin" and page down to read solutions.

Hello,
When you put it to drain/spin does the pump make any attempt to drain,if not it could be that there is something stuck in the pump,needs draining manually.Another thing to try is to find the fault code.If you hold down the 2 buttons on the far right of panel then press on/off button till lights start chasing,then release the 2 buttons on right hand side.Now the first function button by the on/off button you will need to press until the light above the button reaches the 9th or 10th position this will give you a read out in the display.
E10 = low water press.
E20 = pump or filter.
E30 = press. switch or heater faults.
E40 = Door swich.
E50 = motor.
Some of these numbers can vary there are more but those are the most common.After checking codes switch off machine then back on twice to reset.
Hope this helps.

Hello - From what you have described it sounds like the washer could possibly have a communication problem with the control board not responding. Since you have already replaced the door lock, I would strongly suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the unit.
