There will be a setting where you tell it to add the time and date by choosing ON. This is different to where you set the time and date. Generally it is within your menu and may be with ""setup menu"" and called "date stamp". If you set this to "on" it should do the trick.

I asked before how to remove the date/time stamp from photos already taken. The answers I received which is to go into settings and turn off the date/time stamp, only works for photos that will be taken...

Yes. You do it the same way you would get rid of any other unwanted element in the photos.

Once the camera stamps the date onto the photo itself, the date is as much a part of the photo as the faces or anything else in the photo.

Vivitar 5150s Digital Camera. Option to set date and time does not appear on menu>setup list(?). No help in manual.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

How do you set the time and date so that each photo will have it posted

Firstly, set time and date in the camera:
1. Display MENU.
2. Click on each of the tabs until youfind a dropdown with Date/Time on it.
3. Click on this and follow the prompts.
4. On completion press OK. The date and time will be effective from the time you press OK.
I am not aware of any Canon camera that does enable the entering of time/date on all images.
However, it is recorded in the EXIF data that all digital cameras record with every image.
You can use ZoomBrowser - a software program that comes on the CD with Canon Cameras - to write the date/time on selected images. The date and time written will be the actual date and time the image was recorded on your camera i.e. the date and time you took the photo.
With the image open you should be able to find the time/date option.

I do not know how to set the time and date on ViviCam 5018. Really need this for my job.

You cannot set the date and time, and the internal clock does not advance when power is off. So all of your photos will always have the wrong date and time.http://www.vivitar.com/files_products/19/ViviCam%205018%20User%20Manual.pdf

you will need adobe acrobat reader to view this pdf file.

If got an sanyo xacti cg20, and when i load my photo's to my pc it dont show the date stamp on the poto's.just want to know how can i get the date stamp to be on the poto

Hello,
according to the manual for your product
https://wikis.utexas.edu/download/attachments/15045757/Sanyo_VPC-CG20_manual.pdf
you should setup the correct date and time as shown on page 20.
The date and time is recorded into the picture file, but it is not shown onto the picture itself (like in old analog film cameras). You can view the date and time of a particular photo on a computer by right clicking the file icon and choosing 'properties' and then the 'details' tab (I'm assuming you have a microsoft windows operating system). If you want the date to be onto the actual image itself (for printing purposes, I suppose) you have to type it yourself with an image editor.
Let me know if you need further assistance, I hope this helped you, Bye

EOS Rebel XT How do I embed the date and time into the photo?

I'm pretty sure this camera wont do this. However it does record the time and date (as well as a whole bunch of other information) as 'exif' information. This can be viewed in Digital Photo Professional (on the disk that came with the camera) and in other photo editors.
