hi do you mean the stand ? if so you can replace the stand. or replace it with a back stand that connects using the wall fittings. Universal TV Stand eBay something like this.

If you still have the manual or know the manufacturer you might want to try giving them a call. They'll know what size screw was used on that model tv stand. Otherwise, measure the insides of the holes and go to a hardware store; they should be able to help you find the right one. Just make sure they are not too long. Screws are pretty cheap, so I'd suggest buying one of a couple different sizes to try out. They should fit snugly in the hole, but should not split the wood/plastic. You'll want to get four of the same size washers and nuts as well once you know what kind of screw you need. That way they won't loosen. :)

Just make an educated guess judging by the size of the bolts you do have, whether they are too big or too small, or you could measure with a measuring tape by measuring the head of the bolt. Then take those measurements to your local hardware or other store and either you will be able to find one you feel confident about size wize or you can find someone to help you. As far as specific bolts go there really isnt a difference, as long as you get a decent size, if its a little too big it will be ok as the threads will just cut their way in regardless.

If you lay the TV down on something soft but firm (towel on the floor or counter) put the screen face down on the back you should see 4 screw holes with the an (S) next to them. They are located at the center near the bottom. If you remove these screws the stand should then slide out of the bottom of the TV. Good Luck

The trick to lifting Large TVs' is that they are very 'front' heavy, that is, most of the weight is in the picture tube...recall the "problem" of unstable TVs' from years ago (Children pulling down TVs')
If the TV is on the floor you can put a large pillow at the front (Picture tube face) on the floor & carefully tip the set forward onto the pillow. You can then measure the bottom of the set to see if it will fit on your stand. If you are concerned about the weight simply attempt to sit your body (180 lbs?) on your suspect stand..if it holds your weight your good...wiggle around to see how stable it is.

Place the tv on its screen flat on a soft surface,
you need to remove all the screws, not just the stand one marked.
Lift the back panel and then you will be able to slide down the stand, when you have removed the back cover you will also see where how your wall mount will fit to the chassis.
Place all the screws back on the back lid.
