Sharp KB6524PS in wall microwave--my son dove head first into it and now it won't power up, it's not locked. That doesn't suggest fuse right? What would a head on collision and no power suggest?

if the display does light up but it wont turn on,
Broken door switch, broken in the Open position.

But if there is no display at all (no clock, for example) then look at the power supply chain (including the fuse)

Kems307dbl6 KitchenAid microwave staying on after you turn it off.

If the magnetron is still operating when off, needless to say , its pretty dangerous. The door lock unit usually has at least 3 microswitches to ensure that the door is closed and ready to operate. 1 of the switches is a safety switch which will cause a dead short if the door is forced open or something goes wrong with the door not closing correctly. This will "blow" the internal fuse in the machine. If the magnetron keeps going, its possible one of these switches have failed or there is an electronic fault causing power to the magnetron in the off position although, I would strongly feel this would be unlikely. These machines are made with a lot of safety devices.

The plastic round ceiling cover in my OTR Samsung smh9187 has always been missing the locking clip/screw and has gotten loose but was easily turn back in position, yesterday it came loose and fell down ,...

Microwave ovens have special coatings on some of the interior panels and covers to prevent arcing. If there was arcing then that can cause the main component in the oven to fail and be expensive to replace. IF you do keep it you have find what is arcing and repair that.

HOW TO UNLOCK JEN-AIR STOVE TOP MODEL# JED4536WR01

The All Off cooktop touch control turns off the downdraft exhaust

system and all surface cooking areas that are in use at the same

The Lock cooktop control avoids unintended use of the surface

cooking areas. When the cooktop is locked out, the surface

cooking areas cannot be turned on by the cooktop touch

controls.

To Lock Cooktop: Touch and hold the ALL OFF/LOCK keypad

for 4 seconds. After 4 seconds, ALL OFF/LOCK will glow red,

If the model number is correct, the lock can be turned on/off by pressing and holding the CLEAR/OFF button for about 3 seconds. These instructions are listed on page 28 of the owner's manual.

If you no longer have an owner's manual, you can obtain a replacement copy at managemyhome.com. When I turn on my oven for cleaning it shows a f9 problem...could you help me with that

An F9 error code on a General Electric oven indicates that the oven's electronic control system has detected a problem with the automatic door lock. The automatic door lock mechanism prevents the oven door from being opened when the oven is set for "Clean" mode. The malfunction may be a jammed door lock mechanism, a pinched or broken wire, a faulty lock switch or a fault in the control board itself.

Things You'll Need:
  • Ohmmeter or multimeter
  • Phillips screwdriver
#step1

Disconnect power to the oven.
#
Step 2

Open the oven door. Remove three screws from underneath the oven's control panel. Lift the control panel straight up to disengage the mounting pins on the top corners of the panel, then tip the panel toward you.
#
Step 3

Inspect the door lock mechanism. The mechanism is in the lower left area of the space behind the control panel. Rotate the cam on the door lock mechanism to be certain it moves without binding. Replace the mechanism if its mechanical parts do not function properly.
#
Step 4

Inspect the wires that connect the door lock mechanism to the control panel. Check for pinched or broken wires. Check for wires with frayed insulation. Repair wires as needed if defects are present.
#
Step 5

Locate the six-pin connector on the door lock motor on the right end of the door lock mechanism.
#
Step 6

Rotate the cam on the door lock mechanism to the unlocked position. Test the resistance between Pin 3 and Pin 1 of the door lock connector with the ohmmeter. The resistance should be 0. Replace Lock Switch 2 of the door lock mechanism if the resistance reads other than 0.
#
Step 7

Rotate the cam on the door lock mechanism to the locked position. Test the resistance between Pin 3 and Pin 2 of the door lock connector with the ohmmeter. The resistance should be 0. Replace Lock Switch 1 of the door lock mechanism if the resistance reads other than 0.
#
Step 8

Contact a certified repair facility if the source of the F9 code has not been discovered.
Troubleshooting the oven with the electric power turned on is a job for a certified technician.

Do not perform troubleshooting on the oven with the power connected. Personal injury and damage to the oven can result.

Ge Microwave space saver over range working but

It is a good possibility that the stirrer has failed. In the top of cabinet is a round cover, there is a small round plug in the edge of it,pry plug out and put it in safe place, rotate the cover < twist locks > gently let it down and stirrer will be either setting on cover or still attached. If you notice any damage< it is a round aluminum disc that is flat > then you need a new one. If you don't see any damage put it back in < put in hole and turn until you feel it line up with shaft and push into place,< gently >.Make note of position and put cover back on < stirrer does not lock on shaft so you have to hold it up until you get cover under it in most cases. Run a short cycle and remove cover to see if it turned at all. If not the motor is bad < turns stirrer during operation>. This is the first time that question has been asked of me and it is the only thing that I can think of if it heats glass and not food.
