SOURCE: driver's door won't unlock with remote

This may be a problem with wiring. I will need to know what the make and model is of the car. Also keyless entry system stock OEM or was that an option you have added? Lastly, did you install this system or was this installed by a cetified DEI corperation?

Thank you,
Luis

SOURCE: remote keypad

Like I posted for another question.....
Try removing the 15 amp fuse on the red wire to the brain of the alarm.  Wait a few minutes and reinstall.  I have the Clifford version of this alarm and have had to do it a couple times.  Also try the one way remote and see if it works.  If the one way works and the two way works but gives an error this show fix it (for awhile).  I think DEI is having a problem and don't want to do anything about it.

This may sound funny but my mom has a brand new Lincoln MKZ and was having the same problem with her remote starter. What I did was, I pushed the lock button on the remote and then pushed the start button and it started . Even though the car was already locked for some strange reason she has to push both if she wants to start it remotely . I'm not sure why this happens and not sure if it will work with your remote but its worth a shot. Good Luck

The waves mean that the remote is vibrate mode. Try reprogramming the remote. Open the door, turn ignition on, press and release the valet button once then, press and hold the valet button. press the lock button on the remote. Vehicle should respond with a chirp from the siren. Release valet button, turn off ignition, test system.

Will not lock or unlock doors

Does the unit respond when you press the unlock button, i.e., two chirps from the siren and/or parking lights flashing? If so, then the door lock wires are no longer connected or, there is an issue with the vehicle's door lock actuators.
If the Viper system does not respond with the above mentioned sounds and lights, then the remote is not programmed to system.
To program: turn the ignition on, press and release the valet switch one time then, press and hold the valet switch. While holding the switch, press the lock button on the remote. The system should respond with a long chirp from the siren.

How do i get the lock and unlock on the screen to work on a viper 479v remoet

The two-way remote responds when in range. Also, the system that it is programmed to must be a two-way unit. If this remote was purchased and programmed to an alarm/remote starter, the alarm/remote starter must be capable of two-way communication.
