My scooter is completely dead and won't switch on. The battery is charged, I pressed the reset button and put in a new fuse for the control panel as the old one had blown. The scooter switched on with the new fuse, but then went dead again.
My chair, a Dalton HD, keeps blowing fuses. Before it blows, the batteries can be fully charged but then show nearly dead in just a few moments, even when sitting still. It yo-yos indicator lights up and down, sometimes for days, then suddenly blows fuse. The battery cable is also very warm. Any ideas?
Hi, so has the fuse blown again ???

sounds like the gell batterys you can try a battery conditioner it may charge them enough for your charger to work again .if the batterys are not charged or used for a wile the batterys will not let the charger work they should be charged almost all the time

It probably means that the connections or wiring from your battery are loose or broken. When you add the extra current required to run the motors, the voltage is being lost. Monitor the battery voltage with a meter while trying to drive the scooter will prove this.

Are you sure your charger is working? Is the free-wheel lever engaged? Also the charger has an inhibit line, it will not run when the charger is plugged in.

Its probably too late to give my opinion, but here goes anyway.
I had a similar problem with my mothers scooter and it turned out to be a faulty connection on the wires leading to the motor. I simply pulled the plastic connection apart, cleaned and lubricated the contacts, refitted the connection and all was well.
