Question about Apple iPod Photo MP3 Player
Unlocking it is not that hard but you have to remember the password if you cannot remember the password we can still help you. According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following: Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize. Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data." If you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and i will be here to assist you. If this assisted you please feel free to rate the solution. thanks and have a great day.

There should be a switch on the top or bottom of the apple ipod.On one side of the groove, it should be orange. Slide the small switch to the orange side and then use can use your ipod freely again.

There should be an orange switch on the bottom of the ipod. Use your fingernail to slide to the orange side. then u can use it again.
one option could be screen lock. on your ipod, go to menu, settings, then screen lock and see if there is a password you can try to enter. another option could be the hold switch on the top or bottom of your ipod. if this does not work, use itunes to go to your ipod summary and click the "restore" button. this will wipe out the ipod memory, but as long as you have easy access to your computer and itunes ( extra emphasis on "and"), you can sync all of your videos, songs, and photos back on, and even rename your ipod.

SOURCE: my 30gb ipod is locked
restore your ipod, it will solve the problem.
Here is the REAL solution. Ending ipodservice.exe will NOT WORK.
1) Plug your ipod into the computer using firewire or USB.
2) Open MY COMPUTER
3) Wait until the ipod shows up as a drive letter
4) Right click on the ipod drive letter and do a ' quick format ' (Now the ipod is just a plain windows hard drive)
5) When it is complete, run the ipod updater and do a Restore. This puts the ipod software back onto it
6) Remove the ipod from the usb or firewire port, plug it into the wall power supply and allow it to finish the update
If I've helped one person, then I'm happy.

SOURCE: ipod touch is locked forgot password cant unlock
plug it into your computer and through itunes on your original computer you will be able to reset it. If it is not the original computer that you are using you will be able to reset it but will probably lose the information on it.
