Alexander, you left out some important info, so this is just guess work. Can you play games fine off line? If yes, then you are having a connection issue. First, WIRED? or WIFI? Connecting with the Wireless, will alwayes have a weaker signal, and lower bandwidth(mbps) Than if you are (HARD WIRED). Try using a CAT5 Ethernet cable and wiring directly into your ISP'S modem. When you do a speed test on the system, you are looking for around 10mbps or greater download speed. If you can't get at least 10mbps, then you will have system lags and hang-ups.
Even though the modem could be working fine you still might have to do a factory reset on the modem. I know from personal experience that someisp providers **** for PS3 online gaming on of them is Verizon FIOS or that use to be there name. It may have gotten better by now since the company change.
Playstation3 needs reliable, stable, and quite fast internet connection. Check with your internet service provider to get better speeds and this will solve your online gaming problems
Well here you to go the answer to your problem is.....................................1. Sign out of your playstation account.2. Load game (the game will load fine without being logged in.3. Stop at the start menu do not press start when it is blinking "Press Start to Continue"4. Tap the Ps home button and log on to your account.5. After logging on hit the ps button to return to the game and hit will play fine.
Purely and Simply, you need faster internet! Gaming often takes a connection of 10MBPS or greater for the best results. Try not to use wireless for online gaming. Try getting an Ethernet cord and connecting that to your PS3, it's actually must faster.
You may not be interpreting the LED correctly. The Link LED goes on to indicate a physical connection (if the Link LED is out, the cable is damaged or disconnected), but the 10/100 LED only illuminates when there’s a 100Mbps connection. The LED will remain off when the connection is only 10Mbps. Here’s how to quickly determine the speed of your connection. If the 10/100LED is off, there’s a slow connection. If the LED is on, there’s a fast connection.
A fast (100Mbps) network connection requires that both ends of the connection support 100Mbps communication. So, if the 10/100 LED on your hub is dark, chances are that your PC’s network adapter (or NIC [network interface card]) is only operating in the 10Mbps mode. Check the NIC in your Device Manager Network Adapter entry and look for any 10/100 designation. An older 10Mbps NIC may need to be upgraded for 100Mbps operation. If it’s a 10/100 NIC, refer to the PC’s documentation and check the NIC settings to make sure it’s not locked in the 10Mbps mode. Set the NIC to a mixed or 10/100 mode so that it can adapt automatically to establish the best possible connection.
