What is the tonnage of my carrier AC unit model number 38ckc036340

Most likely a 3 ton judging by the "36" in the number. This is pretty standard in most all cases.

What is the tonnage of a carrier furnace model number 58gp100-2

It can handle five tons, or a 60000 btu ac. Tonnage is a measurment for the ac, 1 ton-12000 btus. The ac dose the cooling. the furnace simply blows the air, so if its a good furnace, and sized right, no need to replace it. Simply add the split system to the existing furnace. If you want the tonnage of the ac size, let me know your homes squarefootage, age, condition. Do NOT include the basement in the sq. ft.

I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT MY TONNAGE IS.

Look for your model number on your condensor, outdoor unit. Your tonnage will be towards the end of it and divisable by 6. I.E. 36=3tons or 42=3.5tons. Ac units are messured by the half ton. If you have a split system I.E. heater inside and ac outside your system will be 1 - 5 tons. If this doesn't help post your model and serial number. I can then give you tonnage, age, so forth.

Hi there I have a model number for my carrier a/c unit. I need to find out the tonnage. 38ykc042300 Please any help I will be very greatful.

This is a 3 and 1/2 ton unit.
The 042 in the model number is the tonnage of your carrier unit.
AC tonnage is based on 12,000 btu per ton.
12,000.....1 ton
18,000.....1 and 1/2 ton
24,000.....2 ton
30,000.....2 and 1/2 ton
36,000.....3 ton
42,000.....3 and 1/2 ton
48,000.....4 ton
60,000.....5 ton.
There is no 4 and 1/2 ton unit.

I only see your question worded this way:

Tell us more-- or go on line and do a search for the make and model-- Can you do that?

Tonnage of unit

Listed at Carrier at 2,330 Kilos so math says 2,330 X 2.2 = 5,126 lbs or about 2.5 tons though they listed it as a 3.5 ton max back when they sold this model.
