Cant use a dvd in my akai tv combi also it states NOT to use DVDs that are 8 cm what size can I use please

mines just gone the same way after less than 2 years of having it and Finlux do offer to repair but it does have a year guaranty
dont think i'll be buying another.

Europe used PAL/SECAM format, check settings on tv

Check the sound setup to TV. Refer its user manual for details. Check whether the audio format to the recorded disc do match with to that of TVs.

the video format is not supported to yor tv try to manual set up of your tv.

your DVD lens is damage you change that another lens from same DVD

I would try getting a DVD Lens Cleaner kit from your local store.

Just pop in the cleaning dvd and let it clean.
could be as simple as dust on the lens, could be more serious but i would first try cleaning it.
