Cant use a dvd in my akai tv combi also it states NOT to use DVDs that are 8 cm what size can I use please

I have a problem putting the dvd into my dvd player in my tv combo Also it states on the tv that you are not to use dvd that are 8 cm I am puzzled by this as all dvd as far as I know is they are all 8 cm can you help please

DVD's (CD red book standard) are 120mm (12cm) in diameter the smaller 8cm disc's are the 1.4gb versions. not all "slot" loading mechanisms can accept these smaller type of discs. if you are trying to insert 120mm discs then there is a fault with the mech!

The power supply on your LCD failed and will need to be replace or repair.

I would try getting a DVD Lens Cleaner kit from your local store.
www.walmart.com
Just pop in the cleaning dvd and let it clean.
could be as simple as dust on the lens, could be more serious but i would first try cleaning it.
