Probably the timer. That is an expensive repair 100-150. Make sure the water is on. Try selecting hot and then try cold. If one works and the other does not then it may be a valve which will be about $50.

SOURCE: My Whirlpool Auto Load Sensing

Hi

To reset the Whirlpool washer turn off and unplug it, restart the washer after 30-40 minutes and check if the washer is reset. Let me know if you get any error code after restarting the washer. If no error code appears then the issue can be due to faulty door switch, remove the top cover of the washer and check the connections to the door switch. Hope this helps... Please post back with complete model# if you need more information.

Why does my top load whirpool washer restart on its own after it finishes the last rinse and spin cycle. It does this on all settings, delicate, normal or heavy.

  1. Turn the washer off.
  2. Set the mode selector dial to NORMAL.
  3. Turn the dial counter clockwise ONE click (LEFT), clockwise THREE clicks (RIGHT), counter clockwise ONE click (LEFT) then clockwise ONE click (RIGHT).
  4. Now press the start button.
  5. All the cycle indicating lights should be illuminated.
  6. Press the Start Stop button once.
  7. Rotate the dial until Rinse, Wash, and Stop light illuminate.
  8. Turn the washer off and unplug it for 10 seconds.
  9. Finally, turn on the washer and it should now be reset.
  10. Run a test load empty to be sure the reset worked. If not perform the reset procedure one more time.

My Maytag Neptune washer stopped in mid cycle because of a power outage. Now it will not complete a full cycle. When I open the door, there is a pool of water in the tank. I have unplugged it, started it...

Try spin only cycle. Should drain water then spin. If that doesn't work it may be the power outage started as a power spike and fried your control board. Good luck.

Wash cycle not filling with water

Does the washed show an error?

Check all hoses in back. Remove them from washer and ensure water is coming from lines (drain into bucket).

Unplug washer for several minutes, then try again.

Power out when running. showed code F 71 now not working.

After power outage that will happen do this to fix.
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select
DRAIN & SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call
for service.

Fisher Paykel will not drain

I had the same problem. After cut the power off for at least 60 seconds and then back on, as the manual suggests, the problem remained. Therefore I started putting the clothes out and bailing the water out. Once the water was down about half way the pump started working. I suspect the sensor was "stuck". I cycled the washer without clothes and it worked fine. Still working after several loads of laundry. The water level sensor will probably need replacing sometime soon.
