The color went out, now its just blk and white. Now the color for the menu options and for the channels is still there... If you leave it on for awhile sometimes you can see the color try to come in from bottom to top, but it never quite makes it, it tries for about 3 to 4 seconds... This tv is old but has very little hours on it maybe half the life, I bought it new.. thanks alot for your time!!! 32" Sony Trinitron made 10/1994

Your TV model has only NTSC system with it. No PAL or SECAM. It is not a mutisystem compactable one. Check whether your DVD has NTSC playback option. If it has, you can see discs writed in NTSC system through your TV. If it has not equipped with that system, it is useless for your TV. Sony KV32FS120 and KV36FS120 models are only meant of US standard, and have only NTSC system with it. Ok.

the Caption cannot read the signal using the video in connector, you will have to use the channel 3/4 output from the converter. the video signal won't be as good though. your satellite box should have the CC option within it though.
I have KV-X2982U, With the television on 4, Grip the top side of remote control RM-833 and reverse it, putting it back in the holder. Press Menu on the remote. Several options appear. Press the white button "Preset". You can then manually tune in the setting to channel 4 by pressing the green button, or alternatively you could tune in all channels automatically by pressing red. You may get a better signal on the other channels this way. Good Luck.
