Mechanism need work and so there s nothing to be done except to bring it to a shop- these are all too complicated for a user to repair.

SOURCE: Sony dual deck, deck B

Hi amitchell47,
The rubber belts that turns the gears is already worn out. Usually, there are two rubber belts in a cassette deck. You have to replace both belts. I hope everything works out. Good luck.

Why one tape at deck A won"t come out. it stock inside unit

There are lots of causes to this. For example the mechanism has jammed. The tape has become entangled in the capstan or elsewhere. Plastic damage causing the mechanism to not move back to the eject position. Some decks have a powered eject that is faulty. Broken spring, or one that has fell off.

The mechanism maybe out of alignment. Technicians and a service manual is how this gets fixed. The new belts are put in an the mechanism is position to the stop mode for the eject to work.

Hi, when I put a cassete in my tape deck TD-W315 the cassete runs very fast. It looks like a LP in 78 RPM? Does anybody can help me?

Check to see if the capstain roller is pressing against the capstain. Sometimes they get stuck or something has broke preventing it from pressing on the tape.

Cassette deck plays without cassette, makes clicking noise

The fault is that the reel drive of the deck is not picking up the tape and so to avoid the tape to entangle it rejects. Try to load a different cassete and see it this loads. If not you have a bad belt in your set. you will need to remove and change the belt. Also check for the reel drive to see if there is any slackness in taking up the reel. Since there are reel sensors that act when the reel pulse does not come on rotation of the reel, the set shifts to the other side and then ejects. Open and check this out and I am sure you can sort this out. Good day

Tascam DA 40 DAT Machine ." Loading error "

The DAT machine needs new belts and maybe some cleaning. These fail all the time due to old belts that lose the tension that is required.

Canon ZR60 Mini DV Digital, remove the cassete message

This is a tape transport problem and is expensive to fix. Unless you know a cheap tech, it's time for a new one. Be patient loading and unloading tapes. This is usually what causes this problem. The Yellow warning sticker is REALLY important. Another important item is to always use the same brand of tape because switching tapes causes a gummy build-up the makes tapes get caught in the machine.

Tape deck won't open

If this is a deck where the tape slides in horizontally, like most car stereo tape players, you may have a broken or slipping belt. The fact that you "haven't used it in a long time" suggests a worn-out belt.

In my car stereo, the belt slips when it's cold and won't play or eject the tape. After a few minutes, the unit "warms up" and the belt starts turning. Then everything is fine.

I think we both need to replace our belts.
