Inkjet alignment and cleaning

I can't remember where to find the program that prints the alignment test and cleans the inkjet nozzles. I tried Control Panel - Printers - Properties and don't see it. Thanks.

Press ink and the arrow-up button to choose alignment print, test print and cleaning color or black or both.

New black cartridge horz lines cleaned head &cartridge roller ; bought new cartridge still lines

Try to clean the print cartridge nozzles:
  1. On the printer control panel, press Menu.
  2. Press the down arrow button until you highlight Clean Cartridge. Press Select. A nozzle page prints, forcing ink through the nozzles to clean the clogged nozzles.
  3. Print the document again to verify that print quality has improved.
  4. If print quality has not improved, try cleaning the print cartridge nozzles up to two more times.
You can also try to align the cartridges:
  1. On the printer operator panel, press Menu.
  2. Press the down arrow button until you highlight Align Cartridge. Press Select.

The printer prints fine in black, but none of the colors print. I have done the nozzle clean and the nozzle alignment. When I do the test print, only the black grid comes out.

Check the printer option that did u selected the printer option for black and white. if it is that option need to change the option. Go to printer in control panel and take properties for the printer and change the settings.

All pictures appear pinkish

Either a problem with your ink, inkjet nozzles, or really bad filter on your photo program.... Try cleaning the nozzles first (print a test page and check the lines), then clean the heads a couple times, print test page again. (Control Panel, Printers/Faxes, Right Click on your printer, you'll have some option for cleaning/testing.)

Print head cleaning utility.

I cannot remember if the tools menu is embedded in the properties of the printer driver. The previous poster I believe is correct. If it does not appear, go to start, run, all programs, then select the HP or Hewlett Packard section and look for an HP Toolbox or similar utility that will have options for cleaning/aligning/testing the printer..

Photo printing problem

Try cleaning your ink nozzles or ink jets. It sounds like you have a plugged nozzle or two. Your printer program should have maintenance options that allow you to test for plugged nozzles and clean them.
In control panel, open the printing/fax icon, right click on your printers icon, left click properties, then on the bottom of the page the panel that opens you will see a button that says printing preferences, and that should open your print program.

This will work for all printers, not just hp.

Canon smartbase mp730

Have you tried doing some maintenance like nozzle check, printing head alignment, clean the nozzles if not then try it by going into control panel - printers and faxes - where you see your mp730 right click and go to properties then click on the last tab which would be maintenance.Try those options if none worked then u might have to replace you print head and that should work
