The spring which closes the cover on the front ports compartment of my Dell inspiron desk top came off during shipping and the cover disconnected . I can reinstall the cover but don't know how the spring should be inserted. Is there a diagram anywhere? Dell can fix it in a week but I was hoping I could re-attach it quicker if I could find out how to put it in.

Since it is Desktop PC and if you have active warranty then Dell Tech Support can check and maybe send a Technician out to fix it. That would be better to avoid any other onto ward issues.

You can contact Dell Support and ask them to ship the replacement parts. You can also contact any local dealer who can sell the parts much more cheaper rates.
