If you look under the driver side dash follow the brake pedal up and you will find a plastic actuator some time these stick its cheaper just to buy a new one as used could have the same problem

You take it to a ford dealer , lights are controlled by BCM - body control module .

Brake light goes out sometime most of time its on ive changed brakes

I suggest check the brake light switch; generally is located backside brake pedal and its possible that need some adjust regulation, check wires connections or replacement.

Parking brake light stays on,brake is not

check teh switch, located under the dash, and is touched by the brake lever, also, back brake adjustment and emergency brake cable adjustment (in that order) can cause the parking break lever to not fully return and activate the switch.

Also, Ford uses this light to indicate low brake fluid level. There is a switch on or near the fluid reservoir.

My 1996 taurus has the brake lights constantly on. when you disconnect the switch by teh brake pedal the car will not shift out of park but teh brake lights turn off???

CHECK BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH TO SEE IF ITS TOUCHING THE BRAKE PEDAL.IF BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH OR BRACKET LOOSE AND AWAY FROM BRAKE PEDAL BRAKE LIGHT WILL STAY ON.IF BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH INTACT BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH NEED REPLACING.WHEN REPLACING BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH OR IT NEEDS ADJUSTING MAKE SURE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH PLUNGER TOUCHES BRAKE PEDAL ARM WHEN YOU RELEASE BRAKE PEDAL BRAKE LIGHTS SHOULD TURN OFF.

Abs light iluminated...1998 ford 150 lariot truck . Installed new brakes and routers and no miles were put on after. Now When I start it. abs light stays on?

Ford uses a sensor for brake fluid, to test disconnect from Master Cylinder and connect the leads together. If light goes out, replace the sensor.

are you sure it is not brake lights pull the brake pedal up to make sure the switch is not out of adjustment if not brakes could be a bad daytime running light module.

No tail instrument dome or 3rd brake light 2000 f-150 good bulbs good fuses?

get a continuity checker for 10 dollars and check the ground on the light where it touches the body the light might not have sufficent gound. for the light to light. ( basic electrical knowledge)

u have to unplug the spout small gray plug on driver side in the eng comp . on the fender wall on plug that set timming thing it should b 10 deg b4 top dead center then plug spout back in comp will adv timming

Brake light/turn signal no not work on left side only.

check fuse number 7 in Engine Compartment Fuse Box , if its ok you need change turn signal switch

98' Ford Windstar has a spongy brake

Have you had anyone try to clean and adjust the rear brakes? You will need a shop to scan the van for ABS codes first to cure the ABS light.
