How do I clean the carb on my 2yo sears 6.75 front whell self proplled push mower

This we call hunting, it is due to a fuel blockage in the carb, it needs the carb and jets cleaning, if you are ok on the spanners, remove the carb from the engine, remove the screw in the float bowl and remove the bowel, the main jet and emulsion tube are screwed up inside the carb, remove and clean, you can purchase jet cleaning wires which will sort out the cleaning, you can also use carb cleaner.

TRY MY SELF PROCLAIMED TRICK: THE ON THE MOWER CARB REBUILD.
1. GAIN ACCESS TO CARB THROAT
2.FILL ENTIRE FLOAT BOWL WITH SPRAY CARG CLEANER
3.LET SIT
4. DO THIS A FEW TIMES....MAKE SURE PLUGS ARE "NEW"...OR ABSOLOLUTELY CLEAN...DRIP A FEW DROPS OFF GAS INTO SPARK PLUG HOLE...RETHREAD PLUG...FIRE IT UP UNTIL IT RUNS AND PULL THRU AND BLOWS OUT ALL IN CARB

Possible there is still some dirt in the fuel jet. Take it off and blow it out and run a fine wire through it if needed. Try that.

Adjust the idle screw on your carb

could be the priming bulb gasket between the air-filter assy. and the carb.
I have the same lawnmower and if I prime with gas from a can it will start but stop after a few seconds. When I push the bulb I can hear air leaking in this area. You can replace the gasket by removing the back half of the air-filter assembly. I am looking to buy a gasket today I let you know how it works out! Thanks Ron

Carburator issue. If you have some mechanical abilty you can pull the carb off else take it to a shop. You probably left gas in it off season. Either the main jet is clogged or the float valve is stuck. Either way, remove the carb, tae off the bottom cover and clean everything out with gum out or a carb cleaner. reassemble and eveything should be fine.

Sears self propelled.......metal gear with plastic wheels.......does ANYONE else think this is ASSINNINE? Typical American cheap azz shyt.

OK take and check this. A lot of the honda engines,especially push mowers,tillers and pressure washers,they put a type of coating inside the gas tank. The bad thing about this type of coating is it has a tendency to peal and wash into the carb. I would look inside the tank to see if there is any debris. I would also clamp off the fuel line and take out the bolt that holds the fuel bowl on and catch the fuel that drains out in a clean tray. If it looks dirty,pull the carb and clean it,it should fix it.

Check the kill switch. It may be stuck in the off position.
