I HAVE A 32" PHILIPS/MAGNAVOX MODEL TP3285 C129,CHASSIS 32K8007591.
IT WILL POWER UP AND THEN POWER DOWN IN 4 SEC. IT HAS SOUND AND
RASTER WITH WHITE LINES ACROSS SCREEN.
I SEE NO BURNT PARTS. IF YOU REMOVE CARD ON BACK OF PIX TUBE TV POWER STAYS ON SOUND ONLY..
Crt beam current too high causing shutdown as you know. Check cathode voltage of each cathode, normal levels depend on picture is around 130-150V. Missing 200V to crt board. Screen voltage problem normal 300-500V. Flyback or bad crt. ABL circuit problem. Jungle IC.

I will say I have not worked on this particular model. I would say you have a bad SSB. Small Signal Board. This can produce a white raster. The inverters are working,as you say the screen is lit. And sound is good. I would have to once again say you have problems with the small signal board. Visit your local Philips Service Center. Thanks for asking!
This denotes a problem called blooming the horizontal lines you see are called retrace lines this is caused by the increase in anode voltage which could be caused by an increase in HV section current which trips the overcurrent protection dircuit and turns the TV off.If you do not have electronics experience I would suggest taking the set to a TV repair shop.
I wish I could help you but you will more than likely have to take your set to an authorized
service center. Philips doesn't like to send service manuals to anyone except their service centers.
Same problem. The power button does not work. The volume and channel buttons turn the tv on. the tv then shuts its self off 15 seconds later. the red light blinks in second intervals while this happens.
