How do I open the Quick Change retractable blade knife to access the blades?

Most quick change knives have a button to press and you simply pull on the blade to remove it. Then replace with a new blade in the same way.

Portercable 737 tigersaw can't keep a blade in the quick latch

You can try spraying some lubricant into the blade holder. Sometimes the "ball" in the shaft gets stuck from dirt. Otherwise you will need to disassemble it by removing the roll pin that holds the collar on the shaft.

I just recieved a new Oster Golden A5 single speed from Amazon. The clippers worked fine with the no. 10 blade that was mounted on clipper. I removed the blade and now I can't get it back on or the 4f...

ok the blade latch only holds the blade into place.

the hinge assembly which the latch sits behind needs to be open, there is a silver piece with two ridges on, place a flat bladed screwdriver behind the hinge and this will lever open you can then slot the blade onto the hinge and close shut with the clipper running.

I have an old bosch 158IVS uh, what do you call a little reciprocating saw? jigsaw? anyways i can't for the life of me figure out how to change the blade. i've undone every screw. opened up the motor...

well the sawzaw will be drastically different from the jigsaw, but the jigsaw will have either a round twist lock that needs to be turned a little to remove the blade, or two screws that hold a flat plate that clamp the blade. and as for the sawzaw, it will be a twist lock, or a latch lock, the latch lock will look like a lever that needs lifted to remove the blade, and the twist lock is the same as the jigsaw.

Buick 1991 Century: Broken hood release cable somewhere inside.

Quick and easy... Get a saws all and slice that ****** open, get a new latch and whatnot from the junkyard. Don't have a saws all? Get a hacksaw blade raps on paper towels and duct tape around it for a handle and go at it. That duct tape may come in handy until you can get a latch too!

The blade lock is not locking . When you put pressure on the blades they pop off

Most makes of clipper including Oster, Andis, Wahl have a latch which is depressed to release the blades. The latch is commonly situated under the hinge assembly and holds the blade with a simple hook at the tip which catches on the blades.
If the blades will pull off without depressing the latch, chances are the tip has broken off and will require replacement.
Undo the two screws securing the hinge into place and remove both parts, when fitting the new latch make sure the spring ends of the hinge locate through the holes on either side of the latch.

Toner Drum coming out

I have had a few machines do this, the quick/easy fix is to make sure it latches and wedge some paper between the drum unit and the latching arm to make sure it stays FULLY engaged.
