Poor Mixing My sister and I both have this mixer. It has never completely mixed dry ingredients into wet ingredients on the bottom of the bowl. And I have seen a newer model operate, and noticed that the blade and whip come much closer to the sides of the bowl and don't require so much bowl scraping. Is this inherent in this model, or do we have the wrong bowl/attachments? I have adjusted it all I can per the owner's manual and it has not helped.

Read the instruction manual. There is a screw to adjust the beater height, it is where the mixer joins to the stand.

It is going to low down. the adjustment should at the back of the unit.

Beater to Bowl Clearance
Your mixer is adjusted at the factory so that the flat beaterjust clears the bottom of the bowl. If for any reason, the flat beater hits thebottom of the bowl or is too far away from the bowl, clearance

Tilt-Head models
• Unplug mixer.
• Lift motor head.

• Turn screw (A) SLIGHTLY counter clockwise (left) to raise flat beater or clockwise (right) to lower flat beater.
• Make adjustment with flat beater, so it just clears surface of bowl.
If you over adjust the screw, the bowl lock lever may not lock into place.


Bowl-Lift models
• Unplug mixer.
• Place bowl lift handle in down position.

• Turn screw (B) SLIGHTLY counter clockwise (left) to raise flat beater and clockwise (right) to lower flat beater.
•Make adjustments with flat beater, so it just clears surface of bowl.

Turn the mixer over and look up where the pin goes through the two pieces. There is a screw there which secures the pin. Tap the pin into position and tighten the screw.
