Get a new remote and check if it works if it doesn't get a new stereo.

Trying to reprrogam my key less entry 2001 chevy tahoe all the steps work but then remote still dosent

try replacing the batteries in the remote. You may have to get a new remote. Also try disconnecting the battery to the vehicle. Let sit for 10 minutes and then reconnect battery. Try remote then.

My remoute control joust change the volume and anyother keys doesn't work.

The remote's volume keys are "punch-thru" keys, meaning they'll work for the TV for which the
remote is programmed no matter what mode the remote is in. It seems your remote is not
in "TV mode," but the punch-thru keys (volume UP/DOWN) are working.
The Solution: change the remote from "AUX mode" or "DVD Mode" back to "TV mode", by
pressing the "TV" button at the top of the remote.

Either that, or your remote keypad has failed with the exception of the Volume UP/DOWN keys....
Also, your batteries may be failing, since it takes a tiny amount of energy to light
the IR (infra-red) LEDs at the front of the remote to change the volume.
Is your remote a "multi-function" remote?
Could help more if you could post your Samsung remote model number, since
www.samsungparts.com lists 37 pages of TV remotes (at 10 models per page).

Hello, the most used buttons can wear out over time. On/standby and volume are the ones that are used most often. I suggest purchasing a new remote. It is available at shoponkyo.com. Thank you, Onkyo USA

When I put batteries back in remote control it automatically turns volume down, when I take batteries out everything seems to work OK manually

Hello,
It seems like the volume button is stuck on the remote itself. If you can, try and clean the remote and see if you can free that button.

I have had trouble with the volume adjustment for my alpine (TDA 7552), its old i know, so i dug out the remote control to use and it doesn't appear to be working even after a new battery. could it be a...

The remote that came with this unit does not last long and breaks down very fast. Alpine has a new equivalent replacement that you can order from a dealer that will work with this unit. For the volume control, yes they do wear out with time. Cleaning it with very high quality contact cleaner like DeOxit helps for a while but the problem comes back because the mechanical contacts simply wear out. A new volume control can still be ordered if you look hard. I think pac parts can get them. You would need a technician to open up the detachable face and unsoldered the old control and solder in the new one if you can't do it yourself. After that it works like new.

Volume goes up on its own and stays up.

Aren you sure that the volume up button is not stuck in . It should feel just like the rest of them A little click? It could still be shorted,or the capacitor across the switch could be defective. If all this seems good then the eeprom, or the microprocessor,or the line or trace going to the volum button could be shorted. This is not a repair you should attempt unless your a tech. Now the button thong can be looked at after the set is unpluged and the back is off, gently slide out the chassis toward the rear of the set just a little and slide it back to see if the button is released. if that dosent help then you will need to take the set to The repair center. Good Luck

Volume increases to max, screen blinks, remote becomes useless

All I can offer as help is to disconnect the TV from the mains power completely and go away and leave it for an hour or so or even overnight. Then plug it back in and possibly it will behave itself again. BMW
