Only 1 port in my playstation 2 is working. I switched the controllers around and the other controller in port 2 didn't work either time.

One controller will work. When the second is plugged in the screen flutters and clicks like crazy (like it is trying to select everything at once).

how to play with two player controller

  • TerrySugrue Feb 17, 2008

We have the Avatar Game for 1-2 players. We have two game controllers. We cannot get the second one to respond. We have purchased a new playstation to see if it was defective. We have switched the controllers and they both work in the first slot.

If the Joystick batteries are fully charged, and the playstation is active, pressing the playstation button on the controller should sync up a channel. If it doesn't, you may have to connect it with the USB wire until it syncs properly. We have had troubles also when a controller becomes sync'd to the wrong playstation (we have 3 in this house) and the controllers can work up to 40 feet away. So even a close neighbor's system can interfere. Once you have sync'd it with the USB wire, then it should work fine wirelessly.

Ps2 keeps saying disk read error everytime disk is put in no matter what disk is put in what can i do to fix

  • Confirm the disc is inserted correctly into the PlayStation 2 console (label side should be facing up when the PlayStation 2 console is in the horizontal position).
  • Confirm the disc is clean. To clean a disc, use lint-free cleaning cloths made specifically for cleaning CD/DVD discs, sold at computer software stores. When cleaning the disc, we recommend starting from the innermost circle, and wiping out to the edge in a straight line. We do not recommend wiping in a circular motion, as it may create more scratches on the disc. [Note: Other materials, such as a paper towel or a T-shirt, may also scratch the disc. If there are any scratches, smudges, or fingerprints on the disc, it may not function properly.]
  • Try playing different CDs, DVDs, and games on the PlayStation 2 console to see if the problem exists across multiple discs.
  • To determine if the problem is with the disc itself, try playing the disc on a different PlayStation 2 console (or a PS oneTM or a standalone CD/DVD player, if applicable).
  • Confirm that you are not using any game modification devices. Unlicensed devices such as game modification devices can interfere with the proper function of the software. We do not recommend the use of any game modification devices or unlicensed products[1].
