Remove cabinet

First and foremost, unplug the washer. Philips screw driver, look behind the control panel, far left and right. Unscrew those and flip up the panel. Unplug the panel from the cabinet. Next take a flat tip screw driver and remove the clips that hold the cabinet to the rear panel. Once you do that tip the rear of the cabinet towards you and there you go. the easy part is now done, When putting it back be patient with lining everything back up. A video to demonstrate these steps can be found online mentioned in several solutions here. I apologize the site escapes me. Good luck.

I need to get access to the inside of a kenmore top laod washer how would i go about getting inside of it

The entire cabinet removal procedure is illustrated in this diagram. Even though the procedure is very straight forward, a couple of fine points are worth mentioning:
  • Some Kenmore-branded versions of this washer use plastic endcaps to cover the console screws. Just remove the console end caps and the console retaining screws are right there. This technique is illustrated in this photo.
  • Once you've removed the console screws, flip the entire control console up and back to reveal the cabinet retaining braces, shown here.
  • After you pull the cabinet back and away from the washer, here's an illustrated anatomy of your naked washing machine. The lid switch is screwed to the inside of the cabinet top panel and is easily accessible with the cabinet removed.Hope this helps GOOD LUCK

How to remove top of kenmore oasis washer to replace lid lock mechanism

#
1

Disconnect your Kenmore Oasis washing machine from its power source. Make sure that your washer is unplugged before beginning to disassemble it.
#
2

Remove the screws that hold the control console to the top of your Oasis washer. In some Kenmore Oasis models, the two screws may be covered by plastic end caps. After removing the screws, set them aside until you are ready to replace them.
#
3

Flip the console up, back and out of the way.
4

Locate the cabinet clips on the top of your Kenmore Oasis washer. These clips are located toward the back of the washer top and would be hidden by the console if it were not currently flipped up.
#
5

Slide your screwdriver underneath the metal cabinet clips. Wiggle the screwdriver back and forth to gently pry the cabinet clips free.
#
6

Disconnect the group of colored wires that plug into the top of the washer from the control console. These wires control the lid switch on your Kenmore washing machine. To disconnect, grasp the white plastic clip and pull gently.
#
7

Remove the washing machine cabinet. Tilt the cabinet towards you, and then lift the entire cabinet up and off of its platform.

How do I replace the water intake valve on my whirlpool top loader.

Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Kenmore, Roper, Estate, after 1985
• The valve will be mounted to the back of the washer with two screws. However, you must remove the valve from inside the washing machine, and this requires you remove the entire washer cabinet, which consists of the top, front and sides.
• Remove the two screws in the lower corners of the control panel.
• Lift the control panel up high enough so it stays up and back.
• Disconnect the wire harness connector.
• Using a flathead screwdriver, snap out the two gold-colored spring clips at the top of the cabinet on the left and right sides.
• The cabinet will now lift up at the back. Pull the cabinet up 10-12 inches and then slide it forward 2 inches.
• Remove the cabinet completely and set it aside.
• The valve will be on the right side of the washer at the back. It’s the device to which the water fill hoses are attached.
• Label the wires from the valve and remove them.
• Remove the water feed tube(s) from the valve.
• Remove the screws holding the valve to the back panel.
• Install the new valve in the reverse order.
• Reinstall the cabinet. (Note: As you follow this procedure, do not force the cabinet in any way. When done properly, the cabinet will go back together very smoothly.) First, tilt the cabinet toward you 10-12 inches while you “walk” the cabinet back onto the lower frame of the washer. (This will be easier if you have the washer lid open so you can see inside the cabinet at the same time.) The front edge of the cabinet slides underneath the base frame, and the sides of the cabinet rest on top of the base frame.
• When the cabinet is resting on the frame squarely, check to be sure the back of the washer is aligned with the cabinet. There are two plastic strips attached to the back of the washer that must line up with the sides of the cabinet as you set the cabinet down.
• Reinstall the two spring clips at the top.
• Reattach the wire harness connector.
• Rotate the control panel back down and reinstall the two screws.
• Flush out the water fill hoses.
• Reattach the water lines.
• Turn on the water.
• Check for and correct any leaks.
• Restore power and test.
Hope this helped you and best wishes.

No schematic needed.

Unplug washer

on the bottom of the control panel remove two screws, one on each side.

control panel flips up and over self.

Now on each side under control panel are gold colored clips to remove cabinet from back panel. use a screw driver and release clips,

unplug any wires going to top panel from rear panel that make hold back cabinet,

Cabinet pivots on locator pins on lower front of base. Now with cabinet removed, top can be removed from cabinet shell

How do I remove the cabinet on a Kenmore Model 11022882101 top loading washer?

You need to remove 2 screws in console. They might be in back, on ends or in front ends. If you can't see any, they are under the console end caps. To remove end caps, pry off by pulling caps towards outside from center part of cap. Pry toward you and towards outside. Then remove 2 screws and flip console up and back. Unplug connector to washer cabinet. Remove 2 gold colored clips by inserting straight screwdriver in them and prying back. Make not of their position first. Now tilt cabinet toward you and slide forward and off base.
To replace, tilt cabinet and slide under frame in front. Now lower cabinet on to frame, making sure cabinet is on frame on sides. Re-install clips by placing them in position and pushing down with palm of hand. Plug in connector, lower console and install screws.

Washer is filled but will not wash or rinse, there is a noise when trying to run. It will drain but not spin, and it will fill

Probably has a bad motor coupler between motor and transmission. Remove 2 screws in front or in back of console on ends. Shake console back and forth while pulling up. It will raise up in front and pivot back. Disconnect plug for lid switch on washer top. Remove 2 gold colored clips with flat blade screwdriver. Make note of how they go in first. Open lid and grab washer cabinet and pull forward, lifting washer cabinet off frame. Remove pump with 2 clips. Remove 2 screws holding motor clips. Remove clips. Remove motor. Look for broken fingers on coupler. Should have 3 on motor and transmission parts of coupler. If not, replace coupler. Very common part.
When re-assembling, tilt back cabinet and put front edge under frame. Then lower cabinet to base. Make sure sides are in frame. Install clips by hitting down with palm of hand. Install connector. Lower and install console screws.
