Tablet pipo max s2 does not open but it has a power red when it is charging but does not open

I found a manual for Android 4.2 for a different tablet (a PiPO Max-M6 tablet) which I've never heard of, but has many similarities to the iRulu AX105. The manual has been useful to me.

is it a pipo m8 model ? not getting a listing for this model, if you have it on charge does it still do the same thing, blank screen could be the sd card inside has fell out. this is on some models has an 8gb - 32gb sd card inside. other models it can be a read error of may ram. if it has volume controls on the side hold down the power and volume down at same time and then lift fingers off and see if the android software comes up, can take a few times to get it up takes a bit of practice to get it up but does not work on some. when the menu comes up you will have a list of things you can do choose the one you want to do reset system last know good etc and see if that fixes it. failing that you will need to open the tablet up and remove the battery and check the sd card if it has one inside.

I had a similar situation with my pipo s1. After further investigation I found that the jack the charger cord plugs into went bad. My charge light wouldn't stay on unless you held the charger plug in a particular position. The jack is hardwired into one of the circuit boards and to replace the circuit board was half the cost of the whole tablet. I junked it and bought a kindle fire. Better quality and longer lasting battery.

Plug it in and fully charge the battery. After that, attempt to power it on while holding the power button in. Had to do this three times to fix my daughters tablet, and held power button for about 30 seconds each time.

return it to the place you bought it from and ask them to replace it because it could be a factory fault and it passed them by without noticeing it had a problem

Well, seeing it is a new tablet, either of two things can be done.

Your tab is booting beyond Startup but you ain't seeing it because of the contrast/black screen setting.

To confirm; step into a dark room/space and hold a flashlight very close to the screen, you'd see your tab is at its home screen already.

Anyway, you will have to default factory reset it as it is or you could attempt to navigate (while in the dark room/space and using/holding the flashlight) Swipe to open/unlock it----Settings----display and brighteness-----brightness----'move cursor up to increase brightness'. Done.

Second option with dark room/space is tedious and strenuous.

Factory/hard reset is an easy option to try.
At the same time, hold/press both the volume up key/button and the power button/key.
Follow the system prompt afterwards.

Or

Press/hold down the volume down button/key and the power button.

Follow the system prompt thereafter to factory/hard reset your tab.
