I have an E350 with 3 point took up. Can't get the deck to drop. It has a shredder hooked up and it will raise it up and lower it a little but not far enough down to shred.

try spray silicon lubricant through the top of the paper shredder and also from underneath the machine.

most shredders have special paper that has lubricant in the paper and you have to buy it and run it through the machine after xxxx amount of paper shredding, i just use spray
BUT NEVER USE WD40 IT WILL GUM UP THE MACHINE

Any mechanical device which has wheels grinding or cutting paper material should be oiled in the shafts holding the cutting wheel. Not in excess, just a few drops to assure an even distribution. Run the device in both directions after oiling. You can get a specialized oil for shredders at any Office depot Store. Hope this is helpful.

Do you ever need to lube a memorex paper shredder

ALL shredders need to be lubricated. When metal turns, it creates friction that, over time, can cause the blades to warp. Just like you have to add oil to a car, shredders must be oiled as well. You can buy bottles of oil at your local office supply store. Just squirt across the top of the blades. Or pour some on a plate, dip a piece of paper in it, then shred. If you want less mess, purchase the pre-lubricated sheets that you can just drop in and shred. Make sure to shred in reverse about half way through to get the best results.

A nickel was dropped in the shredder. i got the nickel out. but the shredder will not come back on. i have power to the machine. does it have a reset button some where? i can' seem to findit.

No sorry....if the shredder was running when the nickel fell in and jammed the machine then you have probably blown the pcb inside. Call the company you got it from or look in the operators manual for a contact number for parts.

Royal Microcut MC5 shredder keeps stopping. Lift

Wouldn't recommend you keep "dropping" it...however it sounds like you have bad connector of some kind....unplug the machine... open it up and check all electrical connectors are firmly in place.

Champion shredder WQ120D will not shut down after shredding but continues to run . must move to center position to shut down

If you look at the blades, some are likely bent (probably the middle ones) causing the machine to not drop the clippings which makes it think that there's paper to be shredded. It's a common problem with this shredder and there's no fixing it because the company doesn't offer replacement parts. The shredder is an overpriced piece of junk. I bought mine at Walmart but our local store doesn't even carry them anymore because of all of the returns they've had.

Shreder will only go backwards

I have a Fellows OS-11Cs shredder that suddenly quit operating. It would run in reverse and when auto mode was selected an audible clicking noise was emitting from a relay on the pc board. My initial thought was that I had overheated the unit since the shredder had been operating perfectly up to the point where it stopped working but that didn't seem to be the case after the unit was allowed to cool down.I cleaned all visible paper shreds from the cutters(with the shredder unplugged)that were visible and then sprayed the cutters with a very light lubricant (3 in 1 oil) I then operated the shredder in the reverse mode for a few moments and since then the shredder has operated flawlessly.I hope this is of some assistance to others with a similar problem.

TS-4500 not working

It is a light duty model. Probably jammed the cutter assembly. Will it reverse? Try oiling the cutter. Drop a few drops of vegetable oil at various spots through the cutter.

Noisey Shredder

Have you oiled the blades? When was the last time it was serviced? There is an awful lot of paper shredds inside the unit. Motor bearings need lubrication. Gears need grease, etc. Put about a dozen drops of light oil directly down into the cutter left to right every half inch. I have used vegetable oil in a pinch.
