I Have just bought a new Hotpoint washing machine and have used it 10 times at the most. (Not sure on the model) The last two times I used it, when it spins it makes a noise like something is falling inside it? its not a constant noise but its loud and sounds like there is something trapped?
Any advice would be great, as the last machine I had leaked down to the flat below, we arent having much luck at the minute!!

This is the Mark 6 board fitted to late Hotpoint washing machines. The module will be programmed to your model number - ready to fit. Typical models are WF550P WF560G .... Hotpoint Arcadia PCB Modules. SKU: 256. Hotpoint Arcadia PCB ...
Black powder sounds like brushes are wearing down. If noise is severe, suspect bearings. With door open try wiggling the drum up and down. If it moves inside the tub, replace the bearings. Try new brushes first!
If you've just installed it for the first time ensure that transporting locks been removed (big screws under usualy yellow or white plastic covers at the back side of the machine) Make sure that machine is standing flat on the floor with no swinging whe you try to move it, this can be achieved by adjusting four legs of the machine (one at each corner). If neither of those helps than you need to identify when the noise appears what machine is doing at that moment. If the noise appears when it's draining, pumping water out, than your machine's pump is wearing out, or if it's noisy when spining (final spin) than bearing of the drum is wearing out.
about the noise and juddering of the unit just adjust the legs at each bottom corner of the washing machine to make it stand flat on the floor. Do not touch the bearing for now! update me about your progress while I'll check my records for data about your washer.
