SOURCE: Do you know where I could find these opto-couplers?

when you look into the back of the set you will see a small board on the far left. The large board right next to the small board is where they are located on that board usually near the back edge of the board closest to you roughly in the center. You can try at the following link just leave them an email with the model number of your set and what youre looking for, They usually can get the hard to find parts. Heres the link.

SOURCE: thermo coupler on all the time, push in button, shuts off gas

Bad Safety valve. (valve w/red button). Thermocouple keeps the magnet open to keep pilot and so gas can flow to burner. Make sure pilot is clean and strong and hitting thermocouple. If it doesnt stay lit replace Safety Valve.

SOURCE: Replacing screw drive socket coupler on chamberlain garage opener

There are two bolts just in front of the motor that holds the rail. Remove these and you can move the motor back enough to slide the coupler off.

My Pride mobility Pursuit has an uneven throttle response. A very light touch on the throttle lever causes the scooter to surge forward (or reverse).

Your best bet is to replace the throttle potentiometer. This can be purchased from the manufacturer Pride Mobility part#FRMASMB15318 or from Monster Scooter Parts:
Always verify model and SN compatibility before ordering.
I ran your serial number and it did not return any results in the Pride Mobility database

The kids drove my Pride Legend XL through a puddle. I doesn't go anymore. I need a technical Reference Manual with schematics. I could fix it myself or......? Batteries are fully charged. No...

I had a similar problem with my Pride Legend XL when I drove it
through a puddle accidently and some water splashed up underneath
the motor controller. It would buck or go then stoo without any warning
as the electric brake was applied. Had to take the seat off and use a
hair dryer on the controller connections to dry them out. It doesn't
seem to take much water to make these inoperative. After thoroughly
dried out with a hair more problems like that with it.

It's on the spin cycle and it's just making a noise. What's wrong with it?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Most likely the motor coupler has failed. Item 13 this link:

Detailed view:

There are 3 fingers that drive the coupling from the motor and 3 fingers that drive the transmission. When the coupler fails at least on side of the drive coupler is missing the fingers or the coupler itself has come apart. The replacement part is under $10.00 retail but does not include shipping or tax.

Here is a video on how to replace the coupler.

Changing this part should get you going again.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
