Flatron m228wd The ON switch sensor is not working can you power it on any other way

check the power cords and the video connectors. if it's ok, then it could be a problem on video card

are you getting a check signal cable message? any on screen instructions?

try the cable, if it works on another monitor, then sorry to say but your monitor is fried

that's how switching power supplies trouble you...hint: put a bulb in series with the power cord, in this case you will avoid burning resistors or fuses. A short or overloaded circuit will indicate a bright light...get it? try to google also for troubleshooting switch-mode power supplies (SMPS)...did you check the power regulator IC? hope this will help you
