It may need a calibration with a speed tape and frequency counter or wow and flutter meter. You should make sure the Pinch Roller is clean too.

SOURCE: Teac A1200U R/R runs slow

This could be anything from a defect in the power supply to a defecive motor to a slipping belt. Without seeing the actual unit, it will be near impossible to determine which is the root cause of the problem. Given the unit's age, it should get a complete overhaul including the replacement of all rubber parts. Parts are still available for these. Expect a parts cost in the $50 range. Take it to an audio repair shop that has been around for a while. They will be gald to get to work on such a unit.

96 Thunderbird, soft brakes at slow speed otherwise brakes work just fine. All new pads. 2 new calipers and rotors 4 months ago, problem started last month. Could it be the master cylinder going?

Where the rubber brake flex hoses changed ?

Was all rust removed from caliper slides & all
moving parts lubed ?

Sounds like the job wasn't done quite right & then
there is still air in the system.

The wrong brake pads could be an issues also

The master should be okey, but should have been taken
apart & clean out the moisture around the piston

To access Mouse Properties, select Start - Control Panel - Hardware and Sound -Mouse.

Use Mouse Properties in Windows to customize settings for pointing devices, such as button configuration, click speed, and pointer options.

I have a teac 3340 reel to reel recorder and believe it can only function in 2 speeds 7 1/2 ips and 15 ips. I have many reel to reel recordings that are 3 3/4 ips. Is there an adapter or gadget I can use...

In short, no. if you look closely you will see the Teac 3340 has a much larger/thicker capstan shaft than other Teac reel decks. This feature allows the faster tape speeds...7 1/2 and 15 ips. In order to slow down the Teac 3340 you would have to change the flywheel to one from another deck that was made to run at 3 3/4 and 7 1/2. Which is possible but some work..plus you would have to find a slower speed flywheel from another Teac deck. Also to maintain performance, the bias and Eq positions for the slower speeds would have to be readjusted from 7 1/2 and 15.

V Star 1100 - after cruise speeds engine rpm very slow to retun to idle after letting off throttle.

Check to be sure the cables are not binding.
LUBE those cables!

You can buy a device that is simple and not expensive to lube the cables.
My V Star-1100 custom did exactly the same thing after about 4 years.
Seems the standard service package does not include lubing the cables!

After a generous lube the throttle cables and sticking slow return vanished.
Pleasant surprise how easy the throttle and clutch cables worked too!

Good luck!

Too slow?

http://www.archive.org/details/Turntable_Belt_Installation

above is a generic video that applies to almost all belt driven turntables including yours that will show how to install the belt and a few other things.

this can be caused be a new belt being too wide, you may need a narrower belt.
