Saw will start with Choke. Will not idle or run at low RPM can barely keep running at medium to high speed, changed impulse line, adjusted and rebuilt carb, new coil, checked case for air leak, saw is tight. Changed fuel filter, have fuel to carb. What am I missing.
Check with a husq.dealer, they had some crummy carbs that may need replaced not rebuilt
Testimonial: "Jeff, how do you know this? The saw ran good for years. Why would carb be a problem now. What kind of carb do you suggest?"

Pull off the exhaust, does the piston look ok?
If scored thats not good.
If ok check fuel filter , pressure test lines or remove and check for cracks. Just a start but check easy stuff 1st or get back to me with more info, cheers
SOURCE: Chainsaw is extremely hard to start and won't stay running.
adjust the two little screws on the carburator
SOURCE: Husqvarna chain saw starts and runs for 20 minutes then stops.
two things could be happening.......first is vapor lock......make sure you breather tube is clear and working........next is ....it could have a bad ignition coil on it.....after the coil gets hot the spark can become irratic or just not work any more.....

Eric:
Find the gas/air adjustment screws on the carb (next to the the throttle cam where the throttle cable attaches. Turn the screws in all the way... GENTLY... Those are needle valves, and too much torque on them will damage the needle valve seats. turn both of them out one and a quarter to one and a half turns. Start the saw, and adjust one or the other screw in or out until the saw runs properly. If there is a plastic stop installed on the screws, remove it first, and replace it after the saw is running properly. You have to be patient while tuning the carb as it may take a while. If you adjust too much and the saw refuses to start at all, start over with the 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 turns out on the screws.
