If your unit has a spark igniter you'll hear clicking noises until the flame is lit. If it hasn't done this in the past, then its quite possible the igniter is starting to oxidize and needs to be cleaned. The best way to do this is use a light abrasive cloth to remove the oxidation, or otherwise known as soot. Sometimes, the igniter needs to be removed and as always remove power to the system before attempting any repairs.
Could be your igniter or possibly your control board. The red light not being on indicates you most likely have an electrical issue. Check your breaker as well. If you nee any parts this site will have them all
Hi Ebony! Are you having issues with the unit turning on at all and staying on? Or do you not hear the unit turning on and running? If you hear no noise, to show the unit is running (compressor turning on), you would need to contact a professional at your earliest convenience. The compressor and sealed system are not turning on. If you hear the compressor running, but the unit is not cooling you have a coolant/sealed system concern. Please contact Frigidaire and a professional to repair the unit.
if you hear a noise like clicking when the compressor tries to start and unit will not cool the starter overload on the side of the compressor that starts it has burnt out simple replace the starter overload and it should start
1 of two possible issues, either you pump is clogged, you would the hear a buzz and possible smell a burner smell while the unit is running, or 2 you have a broken lid switch....open and close the lid slowly and see if you hear a click, if not you lid switch needs to be replaced.
Sounds like the compressor starting relay. This should be available from from most appliance parts retailers that carry refrigeration parts. It is probably a plug-in relay which is easy to replace. PULL THE PLUG UNTIL YOU GET IT! Constant cycling on the thermal protector will damage the unit.
