Ensure your fire box is cleaned out and ventilation holes at the base are not obstructed. Ensure the induction fan is operating and moving air into the fire box.

According to Treager FAQ:

"I've been noticing that my grill temperature keeps dropping lower. What is the problem?
You need to "true" your auger. To do this:

Run the unit out of pellets.
Remove the allen screw and nut out of the auger and motor shaft.
Try spinning the auger shaft over the motor shaft. The auger shaft should spin freely over the motor shaft without binding.
If the auger binds, loosen the 7/16th inch bolts on the motor bracket and move bracket until you can rotate the auger shaft over the motor shaft. Then re-tighten 7/16th inch bolts. Make sure auger shaft still rotates over motor shaft, or repeat step 4 again until it does.
Reattach auger and motor shafts using the screw and nut which you removed in step 2."

Have a Bradley smoker. We plug it in, the electronic board lights up for a couple seconds, then goes off. Plugs are all tight, checked fuse, tried different outlet. Any ideas to get it working ?

Hi Jon, as a Treager smoker owner, I had a similar issue and it was the hot rod (too much resistance from moisture absorbed). Replaced the rod and all good.

Is there a recall costco treager grills

As a Costco member you should receive notification of any recalls on products you've purchased under your membership. As you would know, recalls are very specific - even to the date of mfg. The SKU on each item at Costco carries this data so product issues can quickly be conveyed to their members.

If you haven't received any advise, then your specific Treager is very likely not on any recall list.

Treager grill blow fuse over and over

As you might imagine. If your Treager is blowing fuses, it has an electrical short somewhere. The tricky part is usually finding it. However, on the unit, it will likely be the hot rod. Replace it before the short causes other damage.

My treager heats but on high it will only get up to 150.

Hi, if you haven't already done so, I would recommend you remove the grate and heat plate to clean out the ash from the fire box. Accumulated ash will restrict airflow into the fire box preventing good combustion. While using genuine treager pellets and standard shut-down/cool-down cycle, I have to clean it out periodically.

Treager bbq keeps tripping breakers

I would strongly recommend you pull the control panel and inspect the fuse. Before tripping a breaker, your GFS outlet should trip, and/or blow the fuse.

If the unit is tripping circuits, then there is likely a short. Given the material draw from the hot rod, I would start with that. Putting a multi-meter on it to test voltage, should give you a basis to confirm with Treager if it's within spec. Sometimes it's simpler to replace the rod, but this can add up quickly if not the root issue.

Treager smoke auger won't turn

If the auger won't turn because it's jammed, here's details direct from Treager

Elswise, I would check your electrical on the back of your control panel. There should be three sets of two-wire leads: (1) Purple/White=Hot Rod; (2) Orange/White=Induction Fan; and (3) Red/White=Auger. Obviously, check the Red/White leads for voltage and continuity.

Our bbq temperature will not reach over 200 degrees

I bought a new Brinkman from Home Depot this summer. I had the same problem using natural gas. I took the BBQ back for a refund. They are junk. It took us 20 minutes to warm up a hot dog.

How to char-broil burgers

You want to know how to char broil hamburgers right? Here is what you do! Start your BBQ 5 to 10 minutes before you put your burgers on (for gas BBQ) and let the metal racks heat up. Keep the top closed to let the heat go through the unit.

If your using a charcoal bbq wait until your coils are white hot and the racks are as hot as you can get them.

Don't buy the hamburger meat that has the smaller amount of fat in it. Get the stuff that has 15 to 20% fat in it. The juice in the fat will help cook the meat and taste better in a burger.

Put your rack on the lowest place as close to your fire/coals as possible.

When the bbq is hot Take your patties and plut them on the rack. If its hot enough you should hear a sizzle sound. DO NOT TURN THE MEAT. Let it sit on the grill and every few minutes take your spatula and press the meat flat on the grill to release more juices and get more attention from the flame or coals. This is what makes the black grill lines on the meat.

You only flip a grilled burger one time after putting it on the bbq. It should cook at least ten minutes or more on one side. If you turn the meat and there are no marks on it then you didn't wait long enough.
